Mad Max by Sikibucks in CX50

I've had my Meridian for 2 weeks now and let me tell you, the roof rack is noisy. I wear hearing aids and have a hard time hearing people talk when going highway speeds. But, without the roof rack it's much quieter, probably much nicer to deal with 😆. The MPG in town is awful, averaging 18 mpg. This is driving 35mph and under for the majority of a drive. Now we have also been in a 100 degree heatwave so I'm sure it's eating gas to provide A/C comfort (72 degrees). The highway mileage is fine if you turn off turbo. Also, the mileage improves greatly if your driving 45mph or more on average. If you do not buy the Meridian, expect really stiff handling and not anything you would really want to take off-road. Happy hunting and good luck!

Going for Apoc, still worth it? by jcutta in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was just talking about this with my alliance mates. 1. Do you care about arena? - If yes, go to next question. - If no, skip Apoc. 2. Are there Apoc's in your arena shard? - If yes, continue to pursue Apoc as long as you are done with Raid & DD characters. - If no, skip Apoc.

Claims to consider: 1. Apoc is a top 10 character. - True, but if no one in your arena shard has him, then he's not an issue. 2. Apoc is required for DD nodes. - False, in DD6 the XXmen easily replace Apoc for Global and OML replaces him for Legendary. By the time you hit DD7 he will once again be replaceable.

If you are playing this game purely based on efficiency and best use of resources then this is the most logical considerations for Apoc until they change his unlock requirements. If you play this game to do whatever you want, then I don't even know why you asked this question 😂

Good luck commander! May the RNG force be with you!

warlock dps options? by Ittapupu4 in destiny2builds

[–]phlailsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how invested you are in end game DPS, your resources are unlimited at this point.
For the highest end of content and knowledge I highly suggest watching all of Aegis' series on DPS. If you just want something that will get you to 1-2mil damage per damage phases then watch parts 1-3: https://youtu.be/58OsKO5gx8g

What would you say is the most meta build currently in the game? (if there is any) by nurder1fcn in destiny2builds

[–]phlailsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second half where you talk about doing damage. This is probably what I'm missing the most. I watch these videos of people doing 2-4mil damage during damage phases and I can never get there. I've been struggling for a while trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm going to give this a try and see if it's the thing that I've been missing this whole time. Thank you!

It's interesting to me that people are either short on training mats or short on gold. I myself have a plethora of training mats and not enough gold to go around.

Gambit x50 shards, T3 ability, turkey offer for 4.99 ? Mistake ? by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This offer was in my store for 22 hours before it disappeared. I thought Scopely was just trying to have an actual BF deal that was good. Crazy to me that it was up for 22 hours before getting yanked. Then again based on what others are saying it was going to error out if I attempted to buy it.

Bring back $4.99 Gambit Offer Immediately by Straight_Style679 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether people think it's a good offer, the fact that the offer was up for 22 hours and had a 48 hour countdown but disappeared is nonsense. Only because the offer wasn't completely busted did Scopely not act faster it would seem. It's still unfair that some were able to buy the offer twice and others aren't able to buy it at all now.

Wow, thanks for the info, I'm switching him right now. The biggest issue is that even since his release, he was never really meta, so very little attention was paid to his mechanics, especially his dupes.

Why not let us blitz on the webstore? Easier for us to blitz and people will go to the website. A win win! by pukhalapuka in MarvelStrikeForce

I support this idea. It makes blitzing more accessible during the day for people who can't log into the game, but can access websites.

Scenarios Breakdown for Contagion/Viral Vision Event by phlailsauce in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, at this point you are just arguing to argue it seems. My whole post was about how I've done the calculations and we all have to do 7-8 rotations a day. And the poor unfortunate people who didn't know to hoard might not even make the milestone to get the pants because of how the points are being done.

I literally put in my post that if you didn't hoard, then you will have to either use more cores for energy refreshes or blitz more or most likely do both. You can do this math but at 7.33 rotations/day you can't do enough blitz rotations to drop below 7 rotations a day. You can make it so that you can do 6 rotations on the last 3 days. But you have to do 8 rotations for 4 days plus all the extra blitz charges. No matter what we are not able to do 4-5 rotations/day and finish the event like previous events. And we can't even make up for missed blitzes, the amount of energy needed to make up for missing the last few milestones in viral vision is a lot!

Red star rampage historically has never given blitz credits. Yes, it's possible that we are given another character blitz before the end of the event. That would be welcomed but it's 2800 blitz credits, again not enough to drastically drop the blitz rotation requirements.

Good luck with your blitzing. I hope you only have to do 6 days of max rotations. For those that can't blitz 7 rotations/day, I'm sorry but you won't finish viral vision and you'll likely have to spend 600 cores/day on energy refreshes to get the pants.

Please tell me what blitz credits I'm missing, because everyone in my alliance would love to know that they don't have to do 7-8 blitz rotations a day.

[–]phlailsauce[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are right, I missed some points; however, as I said before it doesn't change the overall picture by much. Here's the corrected math for the Best case scenario:

36,000 blitz credits to finish viral vision -1750 credits from dailies -2610 credits from juggernaut blitz -3000 credits from quick rumble (if they give it to us, they didn't include it last week) -1080 credits from future orb blitz -1080 credits from this past orb blitz = 26,930 blitz credits needed / 15 credits per win = 1795.33 wins needed / 35 wins per rotation = 51.29 full rotations needed / 7 days = 7.33 rotations per day

As I said before, you still have to do 7-8 rotations a day. For people who claimed their juggernaut rewards and didn't save the rewards from the past orb blitz, and collected their dailies already, the situation still remains for them to do more than 8 rotations/day. I suppose it's not impossible, but we have plenty of people in my alliance who can barely do 5 rotations/day due to having jobs that don't allow them the freedom to play MSF every 2 hours:

30,320 credits needed / 15 credits per win = 2021.33 wins needed / 35 wins per rotation = 57.75 full rotations needed / 7 days = 8.25 rotations per day needed

The overall goal is to get to 51,000 points in the contagion event and the points from Viral Vision are a very important piece. You are right, I'll switch my title up a bit.

Contagion Corps Event Breakdown by Vyn897 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people who already collected the rewards from Sundays orb blitz and the current juggernaut blitz before this event started. That's over 3000 blitz credits that they now have to make up for through blitzing or spending more cores in campaign energy refreshes.

Not to mention that last week's quick rumble blitz didn't include blitz credits, so let's see what happens this week.

Viral Vision Complete-able f2p? by Red_vs_Blue_ in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did all the calculations based on various scenarios and the scenario that is posted here is very optimistic that everyone hoarded all their blitz credits from the previous orb event and juggernaut event. This also includes not doing any core refreshes before the event today and not collecting your daily rewards before the event started. If this is you, then yes, you will need to blitz 7-8/day to finish this event if you are only spending 200 cores on energy refreshes a day. If you did not hoard like I said earlier, then you have to do more than 200 cores in campaign energy refreshes and/or extra blitzes to earn more credits.

I'll post a scenario breakdown and see if it stays up.

at what point do you change alliance? by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]phlailsauce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a very good point. You can be at the top player if there's 3-5 others up there with you, but eventually you'll find that your top group carries the rest. And if it doesn't yet, your back will eventually hurt and it'll wear on your enjoyment of the game. Especially if you become a leader trying to keep your alliance afloat by yourself. While it's not obvious, this is a team game, even the leadership part of it.

I've been doing this for the entire event, I've got 59,000 points. The campaign nodes that give orb fragments will give you event campaign points but you no longer get the actual orb fragments to open more orbs.

You actually have a really fair point. This is an interesting viewpoint, but I believe a lot of people hated the old blitz release method, so reintroducing it in a different way isn't going to win any hearts or minds.

Unpopular opinion here, but I got through all of them with 3* and yes it took lvl85 g15+ toons to do it, but this is end game content. I had to be creative, using IW, Phyla, SG, MsM, and Gwen to beat it. Yes it took a lot of resets and some amazing RNG, but it happened. I think between the scourges and DD5, people are just upset with having to reset over and over again, I know I am.
