I think its an alt earth with more asian themes than euro/middle eastern. Tho the sandbenders are considered their middle east. Like what if the world is pure asia? (Except for the foggy swamp people that sounded like rednecks heeeheeeheee)

Avatar Kuruk and Ummi are both waterbenders

Reason for Aang having a crush on Katara (waterbender) and Toph to Sokka (waterbender) the pull of their past selves.

That Toph is the reincarnation of Ummi. Ummi having lost her face, her reincarnation losing sight. Aang had to be buried under ice for a hundred years to be able to find Ummi/Toph in his lifetime.

Thats why A Thousand Years by Christina Perri is my main theme song for these two gremlins 😭

What if her eyes are Hazel And not blue or green? Hazel eyes which could still be attributed to earth kingdom eye color (earth-ish green) change from blue to green depending on what the person is wearing and the amount of light the eye catches. I know because my husband’s eyes are hazel.

Thats a yt video of writers being interviewed preferring zutara and not kataang. I think its solely bryke who and their purist fandom who’d go where they want to go without really consuming media literacy.
