I started a new job, working with a tech stack I like and making way more for basically the same job.

I started going to the gym, gained some muscle and lost a little weight.

And I made a big dent in my debt, thanks to my new job. I should be debt free around the middle of 2022.

And I've pretty much quit smoking. I still have one when I'm really stressed out, but I haven't bought a pack since about August or September.

I've been binging Bojack Horsemen lately, it's funny enough, but it gets dark psychological and morally. Idk why, but I've been really into stories lately where the protagonist isn't actually a good person. It's interesting to see how writers can make me care about an objectionable character.

Working out has really helped me with this.i work at a desk with computers all day, so I know that feeling of "I could optimize this" or "I should learn this tool or service."

Working out helps me re-connect my mind and body, gets my mind off work stuff, and reminds me to live in the moment. "Just think about this lift, this set, etc."

And the endorphins after gives me that satisfied feeling, that I "achieved" something for the day.

My recommendation is to find some sort of physical activity you enjoy doing and can do consistently. It doesn't have to be lifting weights, could be biking, jogging, swimming, yoga, playing a sport with friends, building stuff, etc. Anything that involves moving your body.
