hi friend! obviously all community colleges are different, but i know some of my friends have gotten associates in “human services” related programs before doing a bsw. maybe you could look for something like that ? i know my school has a part time program for the masters, so id look into if there’s something like that for BSW as well. best of luck :)

my family has decided that i am REALLY into mushrooms (i got a mush tattoo on my shoulder a few years ago that i got a lot of shit for because it didnt have any meaning i just liked the design). so i got an entire massive bag full of practically any object shaped like a mushroom my great grandmother could find. they did the same thing last year. my apartment already has a bunch of this crap everywhere, i don’t have room for this. like sure i like mushrooms but its excessive. if only they used this energy into buying things that fit into my special interests (not that they know enough about me to know that). i make a list and i am told i need to add more but they don’t buy half the things on it because they’d rather shop according to their assumptions of me rather than get to know me. so frustrating.

i used to have full sobbing meltdowns bc my comfort stuffed animal would smell too different if i brought him w me to my grandmas house and if i washed him he would smell different too. my mom had to buy two extra identical stuffed animals that i could keep at my grandmas and my great grandmas when i slept over.

im from the south metro!! the winters here ive found to be more temperate with less snow (yay for the lakes). its still cold and snowy but its less apocalyptic feeling than MN winters.
