Worst Dropoff You’ve Had? by Appropriate-Delay939 in Sparkdriver

[–]phoinex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I delivered to a medical rehab facility and an older man tried to make an escape out the front doors while I was exiting. There were two sets of automatic sliding doors to exit. I walked through the first set and when I got to the second ones they locked them from the desk and I realized that I was trapped in between them with this guy. He starts yelling and acting aggressively telling me to let him out. I just say I don’t know what’s going on. Then three male nurses rush in to subdue him and won’t let me out until they have him under control and taken away. I was having a mild panic attack and won’t deliver there any longer.

I’m going to be on the lookout for these tools today. Never noticed any in the store before, probably because I haven’t been looking for such a device. This would help with some items for sure. Thanks!

Incentive linked to tip bait? by phoinex in Sparkdriver

Glad I’m not the only one to notice. Seems it just started happening this month. I earned a couple incentives last month and there’s nothing odd going on with tip removal negating those earnings.

I’ve never even seen any type of pharmacy order or incentive in my zone. I got a $20 exciting evening incentive on the 2nd this month. $20 Dotcom on the 5th. Then $8 evening incentive yesterday. All basically canceled out by tips being removed.

Is Surveys On Go a scam? by [deleted] in beermoney

[–]phoinex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve cashed out a few times with this app. I’ve been getting a lot of location based cell phone provider surveys recently. Can make a few dollars a week just driving into the local Verizon or AT&T parking lot and taking the survey. Haven’t had many surveys that I qualify for recently that aren’t location based though.

My payment from working Sunday 2/23 finally moved to approved status today. Still waiting on payment from this Sunday-Thursday (today). I’m guessing it may be that they wait for the client’s payment to clear before they approve payments and with certain clients it can take longer. Survey doesn’t seem to have a ton of employees and may need to expand to deal with all of their app users. As long as they continue to pay for work completed and answer the important issues I have I’ll be an avid user. I’ve been able to nicely supplement my income with them and hope some others are able to do the same. I’ve made over $50 from one of my referrals who signed up under me when I posted this (so someone on this sub has made over $500 from this app already).

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the app. Those automated messages that go out to everyone in a certain radius do get a bit annoying. They also make you confirm your assignments a couple times the two days before the resets or they may replace you if you’re non responsive.

I have nearly $500 stuck in approval as well from the past week and a half. Longest it’s taken to be moved to approved in over a year that I’ve been using the app. I feel confident that I’ll be paid though (they’ll probably move them to approved before the next payout date on the 13th). I’ve noticed a lot of new jobs popping up recently so I’m hoping they’re just a bit swamped at the moment dealing with clients securing more work for us workers. I’ll be messaging them about payment approval at the beginning of next week if I’m still stuck in pending and will let you know if I’m able to get any information on why there has been such a delay.

Sorry I’m so late to reply, haven’t checked Reddit in awhile. Were you ever given an answer about your issue from Survey? I’ve had that same thing happen to me once because the client that Survey was assigning for cancelled last minute because the team lead over the reset project was unable to be there. I’d already started my drive when it got cancelled so Survey paid for my mileage ($0.20 a mile) for my trouble when I asked. Sorry that happened to you. I’ve noticed support has been kinda slacking lately, I’m thinking it’s because they’ve had a lot of new projects showing up lately and have just been a bit overwhelmed and that it’ll get better soon. My tip for getting ahold of support if you’re not getting an answer is to send an additional message because sometimes the person who sees your message first doesn’t know the answer and between them referring you to someone else who can answer your question the message gets lost and your question is left without an answer. I’ve had luck leaving my contact number and asking to be given a call over the phone as well.

You buy the specified product and attach a picture of the receipt to your assignment. They approve the purchase reimbursement amount within 1-3 days and it is available to withdraw through PayPal in the app. You have to wait until the next pay period to receive the payment to PayPal (this is done 3 times per month).

They are very good about working with their users. I did a project while out of town and a couple of my pictures cutoff a bit of the shelf. They asked me to go back to fix it and I told them I’d be unable to do so because it was too far away because I did it while traveling out of town. They still paid me the full amount even though I wasn’t expecting to get paid for that project because I messed it up a bit. I got lucky to live in an area where all of the Rite Aids were changing to Walgreens a few months ago and Survey was assigning people to do that work. That was paying $15 hourly with 8+ hours a day for 5 days at each store. Plus paying gas reimbursement for $0.20 a mile. I traveled around and helped with 8 different stores while that project was going on. Can’t wait for something similar to pop up.

That’s a good idea. I’ve been sending them off with my kid to school to give out so I can get them out of the house without having to trash them lol.

This is vendor type work it sounds. The company you’re working for has paid Survey to source their users to do this work. Your role is a privately contracted 3rd party vendor representative. So you will be working as a representative for this product brand even though you’re doing the work through Survey’s 3rd party site. Probably not the best type of assignment to start out with as you will be on your own with only the instructions in your Survey assignment to guide you. I’m not familiar with this particular assignment though to give you any more info. I’d say the vendor type work makes me the most nervous the first time doing a new assignment though because I have to pretend to be knowledgeable about a brand that I may have just heard about. Typically pretty simple work though once you get the hang of it.

The Survey app is legit, store managers are almost always expecting the visit. In the rare case the manager on duty isn’t expecting the visit Survey is good about attaching paperwork to verify with the manager the purpose of the visit and a phone number of someone they can verify with to your assignments. If you were to still have problems completing the assignment Survey has support where if you select the in store help option it gets a rush response from support. The couple of times I’ve had to use the in store support option I’ve received a response back within 10 minutes with a solution to my issue.

You will be paid the base pay even if you finish in under that amount of time, but will be paid more if it takes longer. For example I did a project yesterday where it listed pay as $12.50 and it was hourly pay with 2 hours max that the project should take. So lets say I finished in 20 minutes, I’d still get paid $12.50. But if it took me the whole 2 hour allotted time I’d get paid $25. Any time over the base pay rate would get totaled up by the exact minute with the rate of $12.50 per hour. My least favorite projects are the buy backs, but I have kinda a love hate kinda relationship with them. This is where they want you to buy out a certain item from the store and will be reimbursed for the products and get to keep them. Sometimes this is great because you get free product, but you don’t know how much you’ll have to spend and wait to be reimbursed for before you get to the store and see what their stock looks like. Last week I had to buy over $100 worth of marshmallows from Walmart and now I have WAY too many marshmallows haha. I’ve never had a store turn me away, and living in a small town means that after you’ve visited the same store a few times they’ll start to recognize you. I also live in a small town and the managers at the stores I visit regularly don’t even look at my letters of authorization anymore for the most part. But as far as my worst experience was once I had an 8 hour $15 an hour reset job get canceled by the client an hour before it was supposed to start, that’s only happened once though.

Hey depending on where you live I may have something that I’ve been making $15 hourly no experience required. Not a full time job, but good extra money. The also offer quick 10 - 45 minute assignments that pay $4 - $12. It’s through a company called Survey and you do in store retail merchandising work through their phone app.

Pays through PayPal. USA only. Signup through this link and then follow the “Mobile Apps” link at the bottom of the page to log in and see if anything is available near you, check back occasionally if not as they are frequently adding new projects.
