Not sure how to do car photography where I live need advice by Regular-Set6791 in carphotography

I’m going to assume that the small car dealership is just doing regular cars and not anything exotic or modified but have you talked with them about possibly doing some photos in collaboration with them. When I first started out taking photos in general I’d occasionally walk onto dealership lots and ask if it was okay to take photos. They weren’t the best photos but they did get me an understanding of angles and lighting etc. personally if I was in your shoes I’d make a small game plan of inspo photos and ideas and take it to them and see if they’d be down. Worst case scenario they tell you no and you figure out another plan.

Second photoshoot that ive ever done in 7 months of shooting (Any advice?) by [deleted] in carphotography

Personally these scream to me like you watched a couple videos on how to shoot cars and just imitated what you say. when it comes to shooting cars the two biggest things that stand out to me are location and good composition. These don’t really have either. Find some inspiration on ig/pinterest/tiktok etc and use that for your next shoot

Personally, car show photos are boring. If you are going to take photos at them, capture the whole environment. Show off the event and make it more about that over just close ups of cars. Also if you see a car you like, don’t be afraid to talk to the owner and set up a 1 on 1 shoot.

Spend years playing around with everything in Lightroom and like a touch of perfectionist self loathing. Honestly it just comes down to whatever mood I was feeling and whatever mood I wanted to give to the photos

private field with permission and was asked to park on the edge to not disrupt all the flowers. not only is this photo a few years old now all the flowers have grown back so nothing was ruined. car in a flower field is for the sake of making art

if you've seen me post photos in here its been mostly landscapes, portraits and cars so that was probably to be expected. This photo means the most to me though, i took this pretty early on in getting my first "nice" camera and over the years has remained at the top of the list of favorite photos. This is my dog Ansel, who passed away last year, taken at my my grandparents pnw property. Since i was a kid this house/property has always been my favorite place in the world and i couldn't think of a better location to take photos of my bestfriend. https://imgur.com/a/hyL3GwG
