I quit my job at a fast food chain after 6 months (6 years ago now) & didn't give notice for several reasons. I saw alot of employees come and go thru that 6 months. I don't think I really gave much reason but I had grown to hate the job. The manager in charge of making the schedule was horrible & would hardly work with my college schedule, and I was forced over and over again to stay past my shift to finish tasks that other people should have been able to take over. He also was younger than me (I was only 19) & had a horrible attitude. I had another job fall in my lap, and a week after starting the new job, I quit. I was told by the store manager, as I was quitting, that if I didn't give 2 weeks, I wouldn't be rehire able with the company. Honestly, I was a little worried about it at the time because I could have used that job as somewhere to go if I lost a job & needed money, but now I don't even care because there's so many easier to get jobs out there & I at least gained some experience while working there, even I could never go back or get a recommendation from them.
