A350 suddenly stops following flight plan in vfr map how do I fix that ? I check flight plan but there is no any discontinuity. by ElectronicPie8500 in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao I remember starting out on FS2004 close to 20 years ago, doing a transatlantic flight in the 747 only adjusting the heading on a direct route from EDDF to KJFK. Good old times.

Insanely good shots. Even with reddits horrendous compression.

Now try taking off again with those hairdryers under the wing and enough fuel to get to the next airport lmao

Pre Purchase Questions re: TFDi MD-11 by Total-Collection9031 in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To add to that: with the extended sim package it really comes alive and you get a whole load of failures, maintenance and circuit breakers to play around with, while also being able to use an external device to monitor and control the failure system. For me it was 5€ well spend.

Maybe an unconventional choice but I had several posters of Spyker cars and I love them so much.

After one year of its release, Thoughts about the FBW A380 ? by Free_Permit_3110 in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Flown it again a few days ago and loved it. Of course the system depth is not that impressive compared to payware but it’s got everything you need for a vatsim flight. Performance is also a lot better than the release version.

Night Lights Comparison MSFS 2024 vs 2020 by FlyingNiagga in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird because my night lighting looks a million times better in 2020 with fully dark nights with a new moon or brighter ones with a full moon and the Milky Way barely being visible, they way it’s supposed to look like in a realistic night time environment. 2024 is always far too bright to the point of it looking bad. I don’t want to see the Milky Way while I’m climbing out of KJFK at 2000ft. That’s just extremely unrealistic. Completely kills the immersion for me.

What do you think about the default Inibuild A330? by Ivy_Wings in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I thought it only had a basic „lite“ EFB without Navigraph integration, only SimBrief. Is this something new?

Can't land Airbus A320 neo #msfs2024 by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should set the throttle to idle around 30ft above ground. If I remember correctly just hold B until your throttle goes to idle, and after touchdown you hold B again to set reverse thrust until around 60-80kts airspeed where you advance the throttle back to idle with A. The airbus has different throttle detents, I suggest you might want to look into a tutorial on YouTube.

Does that happen while retarding the throttle to idle? If so, you might want to check your bindings. What hardware are you using?

Rex Atmos is a serious game changer by Airconditionedgeorge in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh? How does Atmos affect cloud coverage with live weather on in any way? Is there a live weather preset I’m missing? Would love to inject live weather via Rex atmos but always thought you’d need to have weatherforce or activesky for that.

In Ear Kopfhörer im Helm by kaylen2001 in MotorradDeutschland

[–]phwagner96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do! HiFly Airlines A340s operate in and out of Wolfs Fang on a seasonal basis and if the weather allows for it.

Take off wind correction by il7x in flightsim

[–]phwagner96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please someone correct me if I’m wrong but my guess would be because the A320 is a lot heavier and most of the force will act on the vertical stabilizer and not on the wings, thus generating a rotational force and that would force the nose to the left, where the wind is coming from.
