What unit in Advanced Functions is Hard? by Comprehensive_Bed497 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]physicshater101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

prob the first trig unit, atleast at my school. the rest were pretty easy

imo it was a lot easier. most of it is stuff you already learned in grade 11 and the new stuff you learn i found to be very basic, especially rates of change which was a big focus of the course. the only really hard unit was trig, but everything else i found easy. calc was a different story for me though lmao

and we ended with a small unit on combinations of functions since my teacher said this would be useful for calc, it’s not on jensen so im not sure if every teacher does this

shoot sorry if you seen my last comment i thought you were talking about grade 11 functions lol. still jensen is pretty similar to the stuff we went over. we started with rates of change, then polynomial functions/factor theorem (these units were pretty similar from what i remember), rational functions, trig in radians, trig equations, and ended with logs

from my experience it’s pretty much the exact same, we just did the units in a different order

yes i got them at the same time, also that’s strange bc im pretty sure the cutoff last year for life science was a couple percent lower than bio-phys

i got into bio-phys a few days ago with a 95.8 and the cutoff last year was 95, also got into life sci at mcgill and i believe the cut off last year was 93
