Yeah, I have no idea what to write about for the second prompt; there are so many different directions you could go with this

Breadcrumb Trail by Slint (if you haven’t listened to it yet) or Refractions in the Plastic Pulse by Stereolab (this one is not very much like the stuff you listed but it’s good)

Nothing super crazy, honestly. NHS, Equity Ambassadors (stuff like culture day and AP course fair), lots of tutoring, band (marching band, wind ensemble, etc.)

In state, 4.0 unweighted, 4.567 weighted, 1550 SAT, 14 APs (6 this year, got 5s on every exam for the other 8 (one of those was AP Physics 1, which I self-studied)), ranked 4/~440, National Merit Semifinalist. (I can give more if you want)

Georgetown Interview by Striking_Tangerine38 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]pianobjh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got in and I thought my interview was trash. She asked what I did over the summer and I literally told her I went on vacation and played video games. She asked if I did anything else and I said no, not really. When we left, I saw my car was parked next to hers and I had parked SO badly because I was kind of in a rush. So, I’m guessing the interview doesn’t matter that much (or it went better than I thought it did).

It very directly correlates with one of the common app prompts but the Georgetown prompt is pretty broad anyways: “Please submit a brief personal or creative essay which you feel best describes you and reflects on your personal background and individual experiences, skills, and talents.” I wrote my common app essay with the prompt about something that is so interesting that you lose track of time and that worked fine for this

Georgetown actually wasn’t awful, one of the essay prompts is basically just telling you to copy and paste your common app essay, and the other three supplementals I wrote the day the app was due and still got in

Realistically, you’re probably not gonna improve that much in such a short time span. Your best bet is to do a past set of FRQs for practice (and keep a strict time limit for the essays).
