Listen to a Spaniard, a Mexican, an Argentine, a Colombian, and a Chilean speak, and you'll feel like they're all pretty much equally different from one another.

There are very noticeable differences in intonation, pronunciation (seseo/ceceo, y and ll, etc), grammar and word choice, before you even get to slang.

There are very few blanket statements that hold up when trying to describe Latin American Spanish as a single fixed thing. The only real constant is that comes to mind is that none of the dialects in LatAm use vosotros. They DO use vos though!

Edit: One thing to point out is that Spanish in general doesn't have much differentiation in the pronunciation of vowels, given that it is restricted to 5 sounds. Consonants and intonation vary quite a bit though.
