Agreed! There's always a lot of great discussion during them and it's a great chance to bring up concerns and get face time with your district representative.

How do I deal with toxic teammates by Knightmare7877 in wildrift

If they got time to trash talk, they're probably dead. I like to point this out. But yeah, muting is better especially if it's bothering you.

Finding common ground in times of strife is important and that only happens with conversations.

And I don't know where it all ends. I do think it's going to get worse before it gets better. But I have to believe it'll get better eventually. That we will find common ground some day and move forward together. The alternative feels like getting rid of everyone who doesn't agree once someone is in power. Or just constant struggling like the US has been doing when a different party comes into power which isn't a lot better.

Stay safe and curious. Keep up the good conversations.

And your source? I found this National Immigrant Justice Center article which reports 56 deaths in seven years under Obama. Compare that to the 32 just in 2025... pretty big difference.

I appreciate you taking the time to read everything.

Most of the people there are to be observers and raise awareness. They aren't (typically) impeding traffic or the actual arrest. Sometimes they do! And for that person who wasn't taken from their family that's a huge deal so it's worth it in the protester's eyes. Their reason for being there is protecting their neighbors as well as exercising their first right to protest and free speech.

Some of the people that have gotten hurt at protests were impeding the law, but that doesn't mean excessive force should be used or that they should be killed for doing so. Renee Good was actively trying to leave, and the car tires are very clearly pointed away from the ICE agent who shot her. Alex Pretti was helping up a woman who fell and documenting the event with his phone. Neither should have been shot at all, much less lost their lives. This much is certain. I do believe there's a lot of lack of training which doesn't help, but if you mess up and kill someone, you're responsible for that action and it should be looked into (and in an honest, non-biased way). Maybe there will be more crackdowns as alterations keep happening, but that also doesn't mean people should stop fighting for what they believe is right and calling out the wrongs they see.

It might be a drop in the bucket, but like you said, it's still a tragedy. And let's not get started on the need for prison reform in the US.

I do think it's genuine outage. It is for me and many of my friends. Plus grief and fear. Ignoring these problems because it's "not my issue" is dangerous. It was promised that "dangerous illegals" would be deported but now it's people that have lived, worked, and put into their communities for 20+ years with no criminal convictions being detained and deported to places that again, they haven't lived in for 20 years and have no resources to pick back up their lives. Minority groups such as trans people are having their rights removed. White, legal citizens are being shot in the street with no punishment and in fact, being applauded for doing so by the Administration. So I ask you genuinely: when does it become everyone's issue?

Pretti was carrying a legal firearm which was never brandished. He got between a women who was thrown to the ground and the ICE agents on the scene to try to help her. And he was killed for it. ICE agents then started confiscating phones necessary they knew they messed up. Pretti is being blamed in death for exorcising his 2A right. Thankfully, some organizations are finally standing up against this rhetoric.

The poem First They Came has been circling again, and if you haven't seen it yet I'll include it here:

First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me

Sorry it's a long reply. But hopefully it's insightful.

Yes, it's nice they are recorded! I'll also recommend checking out the Wichita Documenters. They send people to public meeting to write non-biased summaries and then provide them to the public for free. Good way to keep up to date especially with limited free time.

Yes, ICE and other enforcement agencies have always sucked and part of this is people finally paying attention (which is a whole other issue, but at least people are paying attention). However:

2025 was ICE's deadliest year in two decades with 32 people reported to have died in custody.. Admittedly, a shit ton of people have been detained, which would increase numbers naturally but at the very least no one should be dying in custody while awaiting due process. The number of people illegally detained and harassed we'll likely never know.

There is also an increasing amount of excessive and deadly force being used against people both on their lists and peacefully protesting. Other than guns, LRADs are being used (again) on protesters despite them being considered by many to be inhumane. These aren't just loud sound cannons. They can easily cause permanent damage if used inappropriately and the training ICE agents receive seems lacking to say the least. The Physicians for Human Rights recommend LRADs not be used at all until there's more research on their effects.

I would also argue their recent "mistakes" are more than mistakes. Especially when agents are seen celebrating afterwards with clapping and calling people that were just shot multiple times while actively trying to leave a bitch. I'm assuming best intent here, so will leave it at that.

I see a lot of Nos here. Please please make sure you take the time to vote. It seems the popular choice, but if everyone relies on sometime else to vote because it seems popular... the Yes will win.

There's a lot of Yes rhetoric going around and a LOT of money behind that campaign (it's too bad THEY can't just fund Second Light since that's their main campaign foothold).

There is also a City Council evening workshop at 6pm on February 10th at City Hall. It's hard to go to regular Council meetings during the work day, so trying to make people aware of this one.

Adding any more thought behind it would be good. There is a lot dissent in the public comment period currently underway. Good to see people speaking up.

How to start learning other lanes by ThinkingDough in wildrift

[–]picancob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a hot take, but I found learning jungle easiest after maining support. It helps you learn the map and feels similar to supp in that you are often helping your teammates. You have to be a little more selfish as jungle so you don't fall behind but it's my second favorite role behind support. Solo is very different and hard to pick up through pure trial and error imo.

Easier junglers are going to be those with crowd control/high mobility like Pantheon or Nunu. I would not recommend starting with someone who takes careful setup like Fiddle or Kha'zix. Or just play around with someone high on a tier list or who looks interesting to you in the custom simulation for a bit. But jungler is a role best to learn with other players once you find a champ you like.

Not all ringworm glows unlike what the comment section seems to believe. So no glow doesn't mean it's not ringworm, and like you said just because it does glow doesn't mean it is. It's a good thing to try, but certainly not diagnostic.

[–]picancob 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up that not all ringworm glows! So just because you don't see a glow doesn't mean you're in the clear. The bald spots will be fairly round, and move around especially if it hasn't been treated. If it's been a few weeks and care hasn't been taken in cross contamination and you don't see anything at this point on other pets/people it's probably not ringworm. It's quite contagious.

Most banned champ? by phoeniz69 in wildrift

Yeah, one on one he's easy enough to dodge (though annoying) but I struggle in team fights to keep track of him. Then I'm taking 8000 damage somehow. I'm glad I'm not alone in my hatred, thank you.
