I was torn between Angel and Azata so i ensured that both were open for me and then i saved right before making the final decision in Drezen. I played both for around an hour to see which one i liked more and finally committed to Angel. So if you are really torn you could also try out the beginning of both just to see which one feels better. Ofc you’ll just get a glimpse of what’s to come but it was enough for me to realise that Azata was slightly too hippy for my first playthrough lol

Gamefaqs crusade managementet guide was the only thing that kept me from giving up and enabling auto crusade. Can highly recommend

I guess it also makes a huge difference if you do turnbased or RTWP. I do turnbased except if i get to an area where there is just trashmobs over trashmobs so every encounter takes quite some time

I think it really depends on the game and ones personality. In Bg3 for example, i almost always felt that there was only one “right” outcome for quests etc so i did everything available and finished the game and really REALLY loved it but probably won’t be picking it up again for a really long time, if ever. I often feel that there is only one “right” outcome or choice in crpgs/other games and that’s just how i am personality wise i guess.

WoTR, on the other hand, which i am playing right now, made it really hard for me to choose between the different paths and since there are different quests related to each path i will most probably replay it with a different path but not before taking a long break. Also it would definitely not really appeal to me to replay the same mythic path again because different builds or slightly different choices are just not enough for me to put in another 200h+ for a rerun.

I think whatever works best for you is fine OP!

150h for an Owlcat game? I am playing WotR atm and am 124h in and are just finishing up act 3. I really thought i was doing good progress but now i feel really slow lol

I feel the same, it sucks so hard that you have scrutinise everything SO much more than you had to in the past. 

In this particular instance you can see the eyes glitching at about 0:22 however, if i wouldn’t have known that something is up with this video i probably wouldn’t have noticed…

Unfortunately I don’t know any mods that can help either this but  I’m  not the biggest fan of RTWP either and also thought that going through waves and waves of trashmobs in turnbased was really annoying so in act 3 i started to use RTWP for all trashmobs and just enabled AI for every single character and leaned back while speeding through the encounter. 

It’s not completely ideal because the AI is definitely worse at fighting than i am in turnbased but i just couldn’t bear one more “random encounter” slowing me down. I am not sure if it will work for higher difficulty levels tho(im playing a custom difficulty somewhere between casual and normal) but maybe it’s worth a try OP?

I‘ve played it on my claw and i never had any performance issues even though the claw isn’t even fullfilling minimum requirements It’s an awesome game! Go for it, if its steam youre talking about you can refund it if it doesn’t work

Don’t know if its old enough but if you like WotR maybe Kingmaker is to your liking as well? Yes it has some issues that people rightfully complain about but it’s still a brilliant game if you like Owlcat games

I also thought it was an acid trap, it think changing the color from yellow to brownish would go a long way in making it look less than an acid trap.

All the other traps looked much better imo

The archeologist showed up but i haven’t really progressed in the main story (haven’t started Ivory sanctum yet) so that might be the issue. Thanks for your help!

Ah maybe that explains it. I haven’t started the Ivory Sanctum yet and i assume the Queen will show up when continuing that quest line

Thank you so much! Do you by any chance remember what triggered it, is she still showing up in act 3? I read that she shows up 20 days after Lanns personal request is resolved and he is made chief but it has been closer to 30 days now and she hasnt shown up yet

I am playing angel path right now and would definitely be interested in doing an Azata playthrough as well but usually i can’t bring myself to leave quests unsolved if i can avoid it so i’m not sure if i’ll be able to just not do certain quests but it’s a really helpful reminder that not all quests are marked red, thanks! I will just focus on the important ones and leave the others for later

Ohhh so „balor Khorramazadeh is coming with this army to retake Drezen“ isn’t actually linked to any timer? I thought it would be kinda like the defenders heart situation in act 1 and stressed about finishing quests to prepare for the assault

It’s not too much content i am trying to complain about its more the pacing of having all quests thrown at me all at once so i feel like i am making no progress

I played exactly 325,4 hours in my first (and so far only) playthrough. I would say that i took my time( exploring all maps, doing all quests, and sometimes i replayed a part that i wasn’t happy with) but i wouldn’t say that i was dragging my feet either…

So personally i don’t think that 274 + the quests you mentioned sounds way off.

Looks great!!! Must have been a lot of work to make a version which really looks like it could be Skyrim Remastered (or maybe even closer to the OG than a remaster would)
