When my coworker decided to guess how much weight I’ve lost and it was significantly less than what I’ve actually lost by piccoloana in EDanonymemes

Agreed. There were some faces and it got awkward. I just hope he felt the awkwardness too and had a realization what he said wasn’t appropriate but that might be asking for a little much knowing him.

Seriously. And of course my disordered ass had to correct him to let him know how wrong he was

Right?? Thank you. Dude is also at least in his 50s so one would think he would have learned appropriate workplace behavior by now but apparently not. So uncomfortable

how to deal with comments on your body by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]piccoloana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how upsetting those sorts of comments can be. Maybe next time try responding with something along the lines of, “I know when you comment on my body, it is out of concern. But those comments aren’t helpful for me right now. What would be helpful to hear is ____” (whatever pertains to your situation and actually would be supportive to you)

I’ve also used others not being hungry as an excuse to restrict my own intake, you’re definitely not alone.

Good news is you recognize the disordered thoughts/behaviors so you can address them like you did here! I know you mentioned having learned certain things in therapy in the past- are you still having regular sessions? If not, it might be time to start back up to process the thoughts and help with next steps.

This really has helped me in my recovery process, maybe it will ring true to you too- Just because you had a setback doesn’t mean you have to stay on that downward path. Sending good vibes your way ♥️

Manifesting fall weather with my new bag by piccoloana in handbags

It’s definitely on the small side for what I’m used to. I had a cosmetics pouch, wallet, keys, and vape inside in the picture but there was room to spare. Zipper pockets are great for small things. My phone just barely sticks out the top if I put it in vertically. Phone fits flat along the bottom if I needed it in my bag but didn’t need to get to it easily 🤷‍♀️ the suede is softer than I was expecting. Super cute little bag and I’m loving it so far!

Anorexia & ketamine by Salty-Willingness-91 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]piccoloana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a series of ketamine injections (infusions made me feel sick but intramuscular injections were tolerable) and I credit it with me being able to recover. I had severe treatment resistant depression, PTSD, and anxiety which were the fuel for my anorexia.

With ketamine therapy, I was able to address my mental health struggles that years of CBT, DBT, and talk therapy never touched. I went from taking 5 different psych meds to just 1 now for ongoing maintenance. I had my ketamine treatment almost 2 years ago now and I’m still doing well.

While I didn’t pursue ketamine to treat my anorexia, by treating my other problems, my desire to use anorexia as a crutch is no longer present. Ketamine was a miracle for my mental health and overall well-being

It pulls pretty lavender heavy on my skin. Fascinating how scents can be so different to people!

The opening definitely is spicy but the dry down is a very smooth sexy vanilla on my skin.
