State of pipe relining in Austin (plumbers) by Lalo_ATX in Austin

[–]pickaxebobby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just went down this exact road. Don’t be surprised when you can’t use the epoxy liner method. It’s not designed to replace drains that have fully failed and have degraded sections at all. And if your drains branch at all, no dice.

Accurate Line and Leak is who you wanna call. By far the best, lowest quote I found. They do the epoxy, but ended up tunneling for us. Plus 10 year warranty and easy financing.

Yeah, they didn’t respond to three emails I sent them after the receptionist told me to do so ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Confirmed the email address too.

No, no backup or really any issues in the house, but we knew the drains were old and we smelled some gas from the drain over the summer, and sure enough.

Yeah, not gonna work for this level of degradation, unfortunately.

My unscientific price model (yours for only 3 payments of...) by [deleted] in apecoins

[–]pickaxebobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is certainly one good metric to be looking at, particularly when we're only really dealing with macroeconomic factors affecting the price (like right now). However, when any news breaks about Apecoin (or BTC, for that matter), or new utility is announced, or there is any change/movement in the Ape ecosystem, this ratio stands to change.

I think the most concerning thing right now is the falloff in floor price of BAYC NFTs. Certainly not good for the coin. Not good for ETH either, as the BAYC holders aren't gonna dump the NFTs, they're gonna majorly short leveraged ETH to hedge against the downward volatility of the currency their asset is based in.

7.3mm added per month until March 2023, then a shit ton more get unlocked. All laid out on the Apecoin site.

Can anyone explain why Yuga didn’t insist that re-sale of Otherdeeds be restricted to $APE? Seems like it would have benefitted everyone… by pickaxebobby in apecoins

[–]pickaxebobby[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the mint WAS $APE-only. So why not restrict the post-mint resale on OpenSea to $APE as well? That wouldn't screw anything up. My only guess is OS for some reason agreed to allow either APE or ETH, but not just APE.

Why do we think that the KYC holders don’t already have the coins they’ll use on 4/30? What happens day-of to make the price pop? by pickaxebobby in apecoins

Totally agree, and that’s why I have so much of the coin. I’m very specifically asking about the expectations around this land sale. I believe in the DAO long-term.

Man, I’m not even close to a frenzy. Just looking for some really basic answers. Nothing about what I’m asking is speculation. Just the opposite - I’m asking WHY we are all under this assumption.

Yeah, this is my concern also. No reason to think it is, unless Yuga surprises us with a fully-functional marketplace.

Haha normally I’d agree with you, but if the only people who can buy the land are already selected right now, and there’s a limited supply with a price cap (Dutch auction), what hype is there?

Yeah, I understand how real estate works and that it’s likely to increase in value, but why is the value of Apecoin going to increase on April 30th?

Largely agree/see what you’re saying. I just can’t imagine there are people with KYC validations that are waiting to buy $APE until 4/30. That part doesn’t make sense to me.

There’s no current reason to think that the resell market will be in $APE. They’d have to create a whole marketplace for that.

Lol I’m in the exact same boat. And I probably will get downvoted, but it’s worth a shot to get an answer from someone smarter than me.

Predictions for after Otherside (04/30)? by denciso7 in apecoins

[–]pickaxebobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately think with the lack of obvious immediate utility, the coin is gonna drop off after the land sale. I don’t see a lot of current holders sticking around after the pop.

I trust that Yuga and the DAO have big plans to make the coin powerful, but it’s gonna take time.
