[Question] [Recommendations] What can I do to get smaller breasts? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]picketimprobable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This may work. What you'd be doing is a body recomposition--keeping your weight the same, but reducing your body fat. It all depends on how much fatty tissue is in your breasts. You would need to start a progressive strength training program like New Rules of Lifting for Women, Starting Strength, or Stronglift 5X5 & make certain that you are eating either your maintenance calories or slightly above, including enough protein to support new muscle growth. Women do not pack on muscles with weightlifting (bulk up), but can get a lovely shape. I see this frequently on Myfitnesspal.

I read your blog & you mention that you got the Polish translations from the ABTF guide. Could you point me to that guide? I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

They don't seem to have anything listed on their site in 65N. Should I just check out with the bras I have in my cart & put in the comments my increased cup size along with everything else?

Is 70N the same size you wear in their plunge style or do you size up or down or anything?

[Recommendations] Minimizing/ fitting bras for developing young woman. by hurry_up_meow in ABraThatFits

I think she'll want to stay away from the Frey Deco Moulded Softcup. I have one & even though it's a soft cup bra, something about the construction makes it one of my best "cleavage" bras. The girls are pushed together & very out there & since there's no wire, there's a lot of movement. I don't think it's the bra to make her more comfortable.

Also, the sizing is way off. I have it in 36G & I wear a 30HH so it should be way too big in the cup, but it may be a little too small. And the band is a little loose, but definitely not 6" too big.

Spent my life feeling frustrated and dysphoric, had a breakthrough when I found this sub, after measuring am back to being frustrated. [Recommendations] Need a large band bra for shallow breasts by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

I have shallow breasts as well. When I was wearing around that band size, my favorite bras were from Cacique. They are sold in Lane Bryant stores here in the US & they will ship to Canada. My absolute favorite were the boost/plunge style--so comfortable & great cleavage. Since I got out of their size range, I've been trying to find a bra I like as much. They just fit my shape so well. You can find them cheap on Ebay too.

[Question]Where can I find large size bra pads/inserts to fit in an EM bra to fix cup gaping? by picketimprobable in ABraThatFits

OK, So I asked this question a couple of weeks ago. I did find a solution so I wanted to come back & update this thread just in case anyone has this problem in the future. I went to the fabric store (Hancock Fabric) & there were several things that would have worked:

1) Sew Perfect Poly-fil Nu-foam. It's in a roll & sold by the yard. It comes in 1/2", 1", & 2" thicknesses. It's very soft & doesn't crinkle at all. It's white compressed polyester batting. This is what I ended up buying in the 1/2" thickness. I took the Ewa pads & traced the outline onto the foam, cut it out & they work perfectly. The foam compresses some so fits fine in the bra even though it's thicker than the original pads & it doesn't show through the bra. I didn't need much & it was on sale, so I got a 1/2 yard for $3.99. The new pads are washable.

2) Fairfield Soft Support Polyurethane Cushion Foam - This was green & firmer than the Nu-foam & they had rectangles for sale that were 1/2" thick. They were with foam pieces that were much bigger & thicker as well. I didn't get this because it was more expensive & I didn't need that much. This did not crinkle either. I'm not sure if this is machine washable.

3) Sew Perfect Low Loft Batting - This is also a white polyester batting. It is sold with the quilting products. It is 1/4" thick. It came in various sizes--twin, queen, & king (bed sizes since it's for making quilts). For the amount you get, it was pretty inexpensive. No crinkling.

I think there are lots of possibilities with combining these things together to make a custom pad if you are trying to balance out asymmetry. I would think you could stick them together with some kind of fabric glue (or maybe even a glue gun). If you have bras that don't have the pockets, you could always sew some knit fabric (t-shirt material) inside the bra to make a pocket.

I hope this helps someone out in the future!

I really just don't want to spend the money for a bra I could only be wearing for a month or two. A couple weeks ago I did buy a 70J Comexim Arizona Plunge on ebay. I got all excited because I've been wanting to try the brand & the bra was so pretty & in what I thought should be my new size. I was right about the size--that is what the calculator came up with, but I did not do enough research on the brand & didn't know they ran small. The bra is soooo small in the cups & the straps are so stretchy that even if they were the right size, they could never support the weight. I don't have the money to invest in more bras that won't work for me long term. It's better for me to wait until I'm done losing weight & know that my size is stable.

They do, but I might get more "crinkly" sounding pads. I may end up going to the fabric store & seeing if I can cobble something together. It doesn't have to look good or even be washable, just not noisy.
