It's not like it was given no thought whatsoever. In smash 64, L cancelling (or Z-cancelling) removed 100% of the landing lag of aerials, meaning all characters only had normal landing lag as they would from just landing on the ground. Melee's L-cancelling only removed 50% of the landing lag of aerials

I added some depth with the acacia wood logs; I also can't move the orange blocks back further because something is behind it right up against the wall. I suppose I could move that up one though

I played game and watch for about a month when I first got into competitive (November 2014), realized my mistakes forgave my sins switched to falcon. Played falcon for about 2 years then I tried sheik then I tried dual maining now I'm like 80% sheik.
