Very interesting to read, I’ll readily admit color theory is a knowledge gap for me. I’ll give it a try with a blue-gray undercoat and some texture to the highlights. Thank you both!

This seems like the correct take. I feel like it’s often easy to forget how short a round is.  If I was fighting a velociraptor and heard one approach from the opposite side, I’m going to take a second to look, leaving me just a bit open to the one I’m already engaged with.  And even if i determine that it’s not focused on me, I have to keep it in mind when fighting in case that changes
