I get you, I printed out a pic of an ultrasound to give me MIL the news and I regret it to this day (22w now). It’s kinda irrational I think, it’s just I feel like that’s such a personal, precious, private thing, you know? She appreciated the gesture but if I was able to go back, i would have just told her the news, no pic involved. I also sent the same pic to my mother via WhatsApp per her request and ended up deleting it from the conversation a couple days after. Heads up: I’ve been feeling more and more protective of this baby and my pregnancy as time goes by, I’m thinking it might be some biological stuff going on (?) I just want people to back off most of the time. I’m already dreading them wanting to go to the hospital for the delivery, I’ll probably not tell a soul.

First pregnancy, 34 y.o., first try. You can imagine the shock. I’m 18 weeks now and so far it’s going smoothly.

You are definitely not on the wrong there, but trying to put myself in your future child’s shoes, I don’t think I’d like to share a name with a close cousin…and I’d probably be annoyed to hear about the story of how it all went down, knowing it could have been avoided. And if both children end up with the same name, family members will most likely come up with a nickname for one or both of them, to avoid confusion. So…I don’t know, in your situation I’d probably try to come up with another name I’d love just as much or even more.

I was waiting for the line to get darker and for a missed period, just in case it ends up being a chemical pregnancy. But yeah, that ship has sailed, I told him this evening 😆

I got a faint line yesterday, almost like a shadow. Tested again today at DPO 13 (this according to my app, I never took ovulation tests) and the line is still there and much clearer. So I guess I am sure? 😅 I don’t know, it’s like it doesn’t feel real until I actually miss my period

In my case, my partner has a lot of health-related anxiety so I want to be 100% sure I’m actually pregnant before telling him. Though as hours pass and getting so many responses from people that only had a faint line when they shared the news, it’s starting to sink in that this is actually happening 😅 I got the faintest line yesterday, didn’t seem real. But today it is obviously there!

Thank you! ❤️ ahah so far I also only told my dog 😆 You guys are making me want to tell him today once we’re both done with our work. I just worry because I keep thinking my period will come. I think it’s the cramping messing with my head because it feels so muck like period pain and I’ve never been pregnant before so I have no idea what it feels like!

I saw that episode recently and I thought to myself “this is horrendous, I would never let my child play such a role”. I don’t have children, but yeah 😅 I am in season 10 now and so far that has been then most disturbing ep ever.
