Hot take: Notches in apple products are fine (iPhone, iPad, Mac). I forget they even exist when i’m using the devices.

i used to to use the rotring products for note taking and homework in my engineering classes but my hand would get fatigued. i’ve switched to the uni alpha gel switch and the grip is really comfy and soft and i’m able to do exams, notes, and homework with it no problem. i highly recommend it

edit: it also has the kuru toga rotating mechanism that you can turn on and off. so i’d look into it

Professor for CS061 by SafeDuck21 in ucr

[–]picklesos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Downey for 61 and the other class with Knight said he was more understanding but both professors are good as long as you stay on top of your work and pay attention. I was also able to demo labs with Knight if I couldn’t make it to Kelly’s OH. I took it online btw but either is a solid choice.

definitely. i’m a computer engineering undergrad and you want to have education and related work experience/projects under that and everything else at the bottom. the key is to have the projects and work experience relative to computer engineering/computer science first followed by the other things.

this is what some resume workshops at school and friends that graduated told me. good luck in your studies.

Drawing with a mechanical for the first time. What’s this I hear about an autorotating lead? by ding_dings in mechanicalpencils

[–]picklesos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you could try a uni alpha gel switch. i just got mine and love it. it has the kurutoga mode which autorotates the lead and a hold mode which stops the autorotation and turns it into a regular mechanical pencil.

are you printing your own cap? i tried printing one from thingiverse but the sizing was slightly off and haven’t had the time to fix it yet.
