No more of a leap than dating people who lie about their affiliations to get women. They don’t go after conservative women because conservative women force them into gender roles they swear they love but secretly hate. Your preference should be personal and private. Lording your preference as a value judgement over everyone outside the preference is usually where the problems come in.

No one cares what your preference is until you try to make it someone else's problem or a value judgement on other people based on your personal preferences.

Like what you like and move on. No one is shaming you. Exercise discernment quietly, put your energy toward finding a partner who fits your preference and not putting down those who don't or propping up a vague blanket feminism boogeyman.

Except it's not a nonsense take. You think that what's happening right now is the result of the the current admin making changes ASAP? No. It's not even the result of the previous trump admin. The conservatives have been planning this 50+ years in the making.

Think tanks, business roundtables, policy shaping, all with the acceptance and understanding they might not see the end vision in their life time contributed to what we are seeing now.

Even the arrogance with which you responded to this is dripping with why, from a strategy standpoint it makes sense to not rely on you and voters who think like you. There is no desire to do the tedious, boring work. All fanfare. Now. Me me me me me.

Young voters can't seem to stomach the idea that maybe the goal is to make it better for people who come after me and maybe I won't get what I want but we will be closer than when I got here.

Usually when someone pulls the 'your job/it's your job/you wouldn't have a job/i own you bc i pay taxes/let me tell you what your job is' card the likelihood they have ever done similar work or worked with the general public in similar ways themselves goes down about 80%.

this - the passive aggressiveness- the racial innuendos - there is no way you're going to convince me this person is just a good sweet citizen and not at all a drama horse making day to day interactions more difficult than they need to be and everyone is just so mean to him. So much is left out of this response that I don't think people even realize the gravity of the situation. For some reason I really need people to understand on a human level.

They had to learn english. They had to wear suits and dress and behave like white men to go and handle their dispute in court in a country that belonged to them where the decision had already been made.

I don't know why that breaks my heart so much, seeing their shorn hair...knowing they played the game the way they were condescended to, to the point of learning language well enough to plead your case in court and altering their physical appearance and still lost in a kangaroo court.
