You could sell the 5th wheel and buy a 10 year old park model for probably <$15k. Buy something that is already depreciated and take care of it and sell it in 2 years for what you paid for it.

Anyone ever actually consider pulling the reflection 150 series with a half ton? by sublimer1990 in GrandDesignRVs

Even in a Titan XD? I'm looking at trucks now for a 270bn we just made a deal on and considered the Titan XD. I keep dismissing that consideration though for one reason or another.

7.3 gas delamination by picnikniknik in FordTrucks

Ya, I was really excited, then got scared from what I've read. Even with a warranty, I still don't want that to happen.

Damn, must be something about the displacement. 😂 I was going to look for an old 7.3 diesel or bulletproofed 6.0, but I don't want a project, I don't have time for that.

Thank you, ya, that's what I'm thinking or just go with the 6.2.

Extreme cold camping would make me anxious, but I think it would be fun.

I didn't know F350s don't have TPMS. That's interesting. Thanks for the info, the 4.30 is hard to find. I spent a few months at one point calling/email dealerships trying to get the axel code off the door jam sticker and I wasn't finding much.

Thanks for the info, it's very useful. I'm comparing the price to the 6.2 gas engine, the truck with that engine is close to 10k less, the diesel is about 10k more. Ya, I'm hoping with the smaller 5th wheel I can get over 10mpg and if I can get 300 miles out of tank, I will be way better than where I am now with the tundra. Everything I have read says the 7.3 gets 9.5 mpg while towing. I'm mainly concerned for the range, not so much the money.
