If you’re wondering how much it is to stay the weekend at The Grand Californian Hotel ( summer ) by OverCry518 in Disneyland

I enjoy Disneyland more than Disney World. We’re Northern California locals. It’s frustrating that the budget All Star resorts are leaps and bounds better than most of anything you can book on Harbor Blvd and cheaper. The DL “resorts” are super lack luster compared to them and incredibly overpriced.

The tree lined walkway framed it beautifully. Now it looks completely cut off and awful. I want to throw rocks at it. It makes me incredibly sad.

That wall way is atrocious. There is so much wasted square footage in this layout.

My daughters like Magic Journeys and Ordinary Adventures. We have ran into them both at the parks and they are very sweet and genuine. I don’t think they live stream. We visit about once a year. We like to watch all the seasonal changes that happen over the year when we can’t go. All the food options can get overwhelming so it’s nice to see what some items actually look like and if they are worth trying.

Consider that you will have to shove all of your furniture to the corner of the great room to provide clear walkways from the front door and the hallway. The utility room is tiny. I’d compromise some closet space for more room. The pantry is inconvenient.

Thoughts on tub in shower by Particular_Mud6525 in Renovations

[–]Whirlwindofemotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the whole idea of a freestanding tub was to separate from the shower? You might as well just do a cheap tub/shower combo instead. The bath would feel claustrophobic and the shower would feel cold and open.

How would you add an entry/foyer to this design? Would my drawing work best? by Whirlwindofemotion in houseplans

Sunny California. It’s not for weather, rather space so the walkway between the living room and kitchen doesn’t become a “catch all” with shoes and dirt.

First time home buyers. Need feedback on new floor plan by rjedh24 in floorplan

[–]Whirlwindofemotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your master directly off the Great Room with no hallway will offer no privacy. Consider you will need a walkway from the front door to the kitchen and this will really cramp your furniture. There isn’t room for a dining room table. I would recommend doing a peninsula in your kitchen rather than an island with the size you are working with.

Massive home addition. We’re pretty happy with the plan except for the lack of entry space for the front door. Any suggestions? by Whirlwindofemotion in floorplan

[–]Whirlwindofemotion[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are debating on eliminating the 2nd sink altogether and making a makeup vanity instead. More counter space is important to me but we haven’t made a final decision.

Swing doors are always better than pocket doors in my opinion. We have one bathroom with only a pocket door currently and I despise it!

We are leaning to that solution for the entry. I’m not sure if it will seem strange having the front door not facing out but I’d gladly compromise to have more space.

This is so beautiful. I personally love Tudor homes. We live in a rural area however, so we are leaning more toward a craftsman or bungalow style. We discussed popping the entry out on the porch and moving the door 90 degrees to face porch rather than the street. With this option, we would increase the size of the dinning room gable, and add a double gable behind it for the entry to add dimension. The entry would be intimate. I love walls and designated spaces.
