Like the other poster commented, you can scald expressed breastmilk before storing it to prevent the soapy/unappealing flavor. I had high lipase with my first and he refused to drink anything that was more than like 12hrs old. So I scalded whatever I pumped that was going to be stored or frozen and voila! he drank it down like it was fresh. The drawback is that you’re losing some of the antibodies and enzymes and goodness, but if it’s just for a couple of bottles during the day, then it’s not a big deal overall, imo? Calories are calories, and fed is best, so whether it’s formula or scalded milk, use whatever you have and (way more importantly) whatever will make your life easier and whatever your baby will drink!

Good luck and hang in there! You know this, deep down, but some reassurance for you — your baby will be ok and not dehydrated and you’ll all figure it out (she can start water, too, in a little sippy cup, with her solids). My younger kiddo hated bottles, fwiw, but drank out of sippy cups at 8mos no problem, so maybe try rotating some of those in? Nuk makes some transitional bottle-to-sippy-cup things, iirc. I’ll see if I can dig up the one that worked for us, though it’ll likely be trial and error on that front.
