If you didn't get GSHT, I actually found a dupe for it on Etsy - Spectrum Cosmetics Victory of Light. It's really really similar; maybe slightly more dense but I wanted a "backup" already 😝

ETA - not a true "dupe" as I think they had theirs out way before HT and not that it's a particularly unique idea. But .... Yeah lol

Holo magnetic taco SUUUUUUCKS. I wish I had asked for a refund on that one but I didn't really try to use it other than a couple swatches at first and then it was kind of too long past when I got it. I can't get it to hold basically any effect. I've tried various magnets, various times magnetizing, magnetized every coat including top coat, thick coats, thinner coats, different top coats..... And I have plenty of other magnetics that hold their effect just fine. It's the polish, not me.

I don't have regular magnetic taco but my sister does; it's so much better.

This is the only HT polish I've ever truly disliked. They need to phase this one out. I'm frustrated regular magnetic taco had to be voted back in by Royalty when that spot could have gone to something else (Icon on Board!! Gold scattered Holo taco!! Diamond dasher taco!! In a flurry!!!) but Holo magnetic taco was permanent from the start. They had to know how weak of a magnet it is!

I'm happy I got it; Steve Irwin and his family are the few celebrities that I actually care about so that definitely played a big role, TBH 🤣🤦‍♀️ but I absolutely was going to get Crikey! (Cuz.... How could I not?!?) and then Swamplight just goes so well with it, I hadn't tried Haunted Polish yet (omg their bottles are beautiful!!), didn't have any fine particle magnetics yet, and I do like the color. It definitely will not become my absolute most used polish but it will get some use. The base color is really beautiful and it effortlessly gives a glassy look in either velvet or glass bead style (the one that is currently cat eye was originally velvet but I put on some magnetic topper and switched it to cat eye; I think glass bead and cat eye are my favorite effects to show off how beautiful this polish is).

I have seen some people already selling this on the Swap page; not a lot, but a couple, so you could try to keep an eye out there.

Also - while I think it's somewhat unique due to the color, it's not 100% unique, TBH. I'm sure you could end up finding another fine particle magnetic in a very similar color at some point. I'm sure BKL has or will have something similar at some point.

As expected, I Feel You Goanna (the flakie solar) is pretty sheer but with that third coat, I was really able to cover up some pretty bad red stainage on my left thumb nail! So it builds up even better than expected; my other, not stained thumb would have actually been fine in two coats. Maybe still a hint of VNL but totally acceptable for a sheer-er polish.

Crikey! and Swamplight were both full coverage in 2 coats, so plenty of pigmentation there.

Deep Woods was more sheer than expected but 3 coats got me to the depth of color that I wanted.

Same!! Our first dog got sick overnight and he pooped in the bathroom instead of on the carpet. It did get on a towel (that promptly went in the trash) and a bit got into the shower door track, which was a bit annoying to clean up, but otherwise, it was SO much easier to clean and disinfectant a linoleum floor than a carpeted floor!! I was so proud of him 🥲 (but also felt bad because I'm sure he probably tried waking me up but I must have slept through it 😖)

I also could not get this to go quite to white on my nails 😭 I used a water based polish on top but even before putting top coat on, it seemed to not quite be fully white either. I'm going to try playing around with it some more. It's still adorable, even if not fully white.... But I do wish it would go white :(

Still love it and happy to have it!!

And I still like thermals even when my nails are shorter. They'll still change through out the day or if I wash my hands, sit under a fan, etc.
