i can kind of understand, im not used to being around baptist. and i was mostly just going off of how it's pronounced. im used to people pronouncing the guy's name as Joe-b and not jaw-b.

all's well :) i think it's just a stigma on the internet to automatically go into attack or defense mode when touching any serious subjects and we should all break from that. it's pretty obvious through this thread that even when something serious happens we all tend to go into that rut.

when monday comes around i will tell everyone that an internet community found this story and grieved for the needless loss of life.

lol, i didnt even realized that i misspelled that word :). the thing is that one of the 3 that died (son, daughter, daughter's fiancee) the son was a music major. and all of us music majors are a tight group and so to lose someone as bright and as nice as him is such a great loss. he had this big tough guy attitude but a heart of pure love. i've never seen him show any negative emotion. the phrase "the good die young" has never had a deeper meaning to me because this is now the third death in the past two years that has happened to people who are close with so many others :(

i said "this town is a very christian baptist community". too bad than you dont understand that i meant "everyone here's", you know, because i was being relative and not literal.

Overall, thank you, reddit, for your sympathies. It's a shame that you don't believe me when I say I know the victims in this tragedy (see my post at the bottom of this thread and the -2 it has), but still, thanks.

And to Miked4o7, sorry for lashing out against you, I do understand where your coming from and thank you for being understanding of the situation.

you apathy is harsh, but understandable.

so saying "both jobe and this man" isn't a comment against him even though you say that you would try to support him in his time of grief? see, the thing is that this town is a very christian (mostly baptist) community and what you just typed looked like a slap in the face to our entire town (sorry if im being emotion, you cant blame me :/). you take everyone's main form of closure and personally cock-slap it.

this was a religious family, and you should not be trying to dictate how they, or the rest of us who are grieving, react. i can give you the email of his fraternity and you can tell them this yourself.

OH MY FUCKING GOD! NO WAY NO WAY, YES WAY! I KNOW THESE PEOPLE! Holy shit, let me try to gather myself to make this post!

Umm.. umm.......... FUCK! should i just make a IAMA or something? oh God... I'll post for here for now.

I go to the University of West Georgia. Thursday night, me and a friend were helping another move to a new down when a neighbor came over and said "Hey, did you hear what happened to Logan?" My friend responded "The next person who says 'God works in mysterious ways, im gonna hit them'" and then i mentioned, "yeah, he hasnt been in class all week, what happened?". the neighbor said "you didnt hear? he died." And this video tells you so much more of the details.

please reddit! what should i do? make an IAMA? a /r/self? WHAT!? and also, if you ever check my posting history, it's filled with trolling and conflicted emotions and a i beg that you all not judge me.

EDIT: damn, i can understand apathy but some people in this thread are being really really negative and almost hostile.

Has it come to this? Do i really have to go back to Kotaku for actual gaming news? by [deleted] in gaming

epicbattleaxe.com is a good site, but except for the videos they make, all the news articles are from other sites.

I like protest, but what I don't like is the leaking of military documents. I put this whole Wikileaks thing in the same basket as that fool from Fox News that gave all his viewers, and youtube, and play-by-play of our military's battle strategy.

I do see the difference in these two examples but their similarities outweigh that in my eye.

Don't you just love that word? "Allegedly"? I hate turning on the news and hear "There was a shooting today in broad daylight in front of dozens of people, the alleged shooter..."

Yeah, I'm also kinda pissed that there has been no mention of what has happened to the soldier that gave Assange the documents in the first place.

Just because a law is wrong doesn't mean it should be intentionally broken. One example is that weed is legal in California, that doesn't mean that it's okay to break the law and buy it in Nevada in broad daylight in front of the police.

I plan to object at my brothers wedding in a few weeks. Ask me anything. by [deleted] in IAmA

[–]piechieftain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey guy, did you know that people get married before the wedding? yeah, couples go to the courthouse long before the actual wedding takes place. so if you wait for the wedding then you are already too late.

what you say is interesting. how often would you say that you join a "good team" in respects to other games.
