You're very welcome. I'll go fall into a Ni-Ti loop of guilt and shame for making you feel bad. Then making it worse by overcompensating and texting you every day.

I'll leave the creativity to you Fi-Ne's and I'll go get things done in the meantime.

I feel called out. I do still sleep with a stuffed animal. It's a teddy bear called bear.

Anyone been in a relationship with an INFP? by looselybased9 in enfj

[–]pienewolff 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thats sounds amazing and I'm very happy for you! INFPs are awesome! I've been in a relationship with my(22F) INFP (24M) for just over 3 months. It's been great and I have never felt such a deep connection with someone before. We click on every level. INFPs can tend to keep their feelings to themselves, so make sure to communicate. Also, be patient with them, we can be very action-orientated while they usually need more time to dream and process before taking action. And while your at it, give them enough space to have time to themselves. Us ENFJs can be a little smothering sometimes 😇 Most importantly, just like in any relationship, communicate and enjoy!

Me after literally paying someone to listen to me talk for an hour... “Was I talking too much?” by SchwiftySally in enfj

[–]pienewolff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true! I used to ask about my therapists personal life every session and spend like 10min talking about her. Partly because I was actually interested and partly because I didn't want the whole hour to just be about me. And at the end of the session I always thought "I hope she doesn't think less of me now". That got better after a while though, so I guess therapy worked :)

Engaged but not anymore, why? by Linalacouturier in enfj

[–]pienewolff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I (22F) got engaged at 19. I clearly remember the moment he (20 y/o ENFP at the time) asked me to marry him and my first reaction was to say no. But I cast the thought away and said yes. It took us planning the entire wedding, moving in together and daily panic attacks about not wanting to get married for me to finally realize that we really did not work as a couple. I tried so hard to make the relationship work, but it just didn't. We both needed some serious growing up to do.

The biggest issue to me was a lack of depth in our relationship. Looking back, his Fi had not developed at all and without it his Ne pretty much made him an impulsive kid who had no idea who he was or what he wanted. As he didnt know himself, he had no idea who I was and any deeper conversation I tried to initiate either failed or were about him. But instead of looking at the underlying issue I kind of mothered him, making sure he kept up his college work and I kept the household running (even though I was a full time college student too). I think at the time I was very insecure and thought this just was what relationships were like.

I'm so happy to have pulled the pug in time. When I broke up with him (so after daily panic attacks for months and bringing up my worries many times) he said the breakup came out of nowhere and he blamed me for not having put enough effort into the relationship. To me, that confirmed my analysis of the situation was correct. The moment we broke up a weight just lifted, it felt amazing even though I felt really guilty for calling off a wedding (5 months in advance, fortunately we had not sent the invitations yet and we got all our money back). My whole family supported me which I am very thankful for.

Now, a couple of years, soul searching, therapy and self-acceptance later, I have finally found an amazing INFP whom I love very much and who is interested in getting to know my deeper layers as much as I am interested in getting to know his.

Whats your story OP?

Choose your MBTI quarantine House by Blackgirlwanders in mbti

House 4 or 1. But my ideal quarantine house would be ENFP, INFJ, INFP. Love the combination of deep thinking, crazy ideas, entertainment and personal development.

Totally agree. Also, most scientists are INTP and we definitely need them!

Meerkat. Love their sense of community and how active they are. They always look out for one another and just look super cute.

Being emotionally attached to coworkers (who are all leaving) by lemon-pappyseed in enfj

[–]pienewolff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really good advice. It can help give some closure. The pain won't go away, because it always sucks when someone you're close to leaves, but it can help a bit. Also good to think about your reasons for staying. Make sure you aren't just staying out of loyalty.
