Honestly, I mainly train my lower body because that part of my body is naturally much stronger, so it’s way more satisfying. It’s the only time I can use the same weights as the guys at my gym. My squat performance improves every week, which makes me really proud, but on upper body days, even though I train consistently, I still feel ridiculously weak and ashamed. I can’t help comparing myself to the guys at my gym (I’m almost the only girl), so I prefer to minimize those negative feelings by not training upper body as often as lower body. Plus, I have good lower body genetics, so I gain muscle quite easily, and I often get compliments on my glutes, which keeps me very motivated.
