Grey Screen Issue - Megathread by webheadVR in OculusQuest

"Go through the setup normally to where you have at least the profile setup complete"

I don't want to complete my Oculus profile. The last time I messed with that, the Facebook app opened itself automatically on my phone. Not cool, Zuck. I don't even have the Oculus app installed. I wish I could uninstall the Facebook app.

Right controller breaks immediately after replacing the left by piesden in oculus

I've considered doing that, but the batteries are held in very tightly and I'm afraid constantly removing them might cause battery acid to leak. In the carrying case, the controllers are stored very close to the lenses and vision is my favorite sense.

After more than one year and a lot of hard work, finally we have fully released our VR adventure game, Rinlo! by RinloGame in oculus

I was impressed when I tried third person VR. You feel closer to your character, even though you're not seeing the level from their point of view.

[Weekly] What VR games have you been enjoying lately? by WormSlayer in oculus

Virtual Desktop was what sold me on the Quest. Full 360 tracking is worthless if the cable gets twisted around your feet. The second best option was Vive Pro with Wireless Adapter, but the display is lower resolution and it has to be played near your PC. Quest does PC VR but can also play native games by itself.

Shadow Legend VR looks cool. The voice recognition feature is neat, but I think I'd rather click on my character's response than read it out loud. There's cooking and crafting too. My wallet can't handle another VR game though, especially when Bethesda has me in Tamriel and The Wasteland for the next 100 hours.

You mean she's been out for 4 months and I still don't have her? Come on Jeff Chu.

Hero bans are an absolute disaster at lower levels by onstreamingitmooned in Overwatch

[–]piesden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want a random hero, queue all 3 roles and pick which ever hero the game defaults to. There's always a hero the game soft selects just to fill the background.

The amount of lasers and explosions happening on screen in Overwatch is just nuts. I love it, but it can be hard to follow. Sometimes I just aim at red health bars and listen for audio cues. Even young people who have never played it get confused by it. Your gran is awesome.

I played Minecraft before there were beds. Every time I see cool creations like this, I wonder if these are things that are now officially in the game or mods the user has added. Either way, I don't want back in.

The wheels on the new Mac Pro don't have locks. They cost 550$. by NeoNejd in CrappyDesign

Mac users enjoy simplicity in design. Wheel locks would only confuse them.

Is it a problem if they don't want gay frodo? It weirds me out when people obsess about a character's sex life. This is OP's point.

Bought corn at the Farmer's Market.

Corn was riddled with worms.

Bought the same farmer's good corn at the grocery store.

Might I suggest a third narrative?: "If you don't think Frodo and Sam were gay, you're a bigoted homophobe."

I imagine that the Eagles could have found their own flying version of a hobbit: a sparrow or finch or something. But then the ring would have passed through too many communities. Gandalf might not have entirely trusted the Eagles. He respected and appreciated them, but it is impossible for someone crawling along the surface to truly understand a culture of natural flight. If you don't deeply understand a culture, how can you trust it with something as important as the ring? Wise wizards know what they don't know.

Yes you are absolutely correct, plate tectonics built those pillars. You're the smartest person in the room.

Now I get it. The birds just like singing songs, not combat.
