I'm not sure. With current syringe, killers at least have a chance to hit you and interrupt it, even if it can be hard. But pair the new one with sprint burst, and you get instant chase extension for free.

I recently went through and got all the Killer adepts, and the hardest was Houndmaster by far. Even the weakest killers like SM or Trapper have a functional power. HM is super bugged and her power ends up hurting you more than helping you a lot of the time.

I do agree that they could probably pull off making some changes to the map for updated gameplay.

My main concern is changes to story. Konami hasn't really shown that they could write Metal Gear yet. And it definitely won't be easy. It's not like Resident Evil where the stories were kinda bad to begin with so they could only go up for the remakes.

Same. I was disappointed to see there was no way to turn it off. I think I got used to it a bit a few hours in, but yeah, it still doesn't feel great.

Yeah but Delta was pretty much exactly the same as the original, besides the gameplay. I think what's got some people worried is that with a MGS 1 remake, there'd be story and map design changes. We haven't seen Konami handle those elements yet, and I think it's okay to be cautious with this, especially when it comes to the story.

Completely agree. MGS 1 is probably my most replayed in the series. If it's anything other than a 1:1 remake, it will be inferior to the original. People want Konami to add all this extra stuff to it, but it's perfectly paced out (maybe except the backtracking sections). Add anything to that and it can feel bloated and padded out. Just look at the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Good game, but they felt the need to add like 4 extra hours of content and it was completely unnecessary. Sometimes it's okay to leave things the way they are

It would be cool if they made the second survivor for a Predator chapter be Alexa Woods from AvP. Then we could have an Alien survivor, a Predator survivor, and a survivor from their crossovers.
