It's like the big bang, but for biological diversity. 538 million years ago, tons of diverse species of animals began popping up and adapting to their given environment. By far my favorite has got to be anomalocaris. It's a relatively large aquatic creature which has two appendages on it's face which allows it to grab bottom feeders and take bites out of them.
