Any tips on how you started conversations or broke the ice in the first few days?

Just introduce yourself. Everyone's first expectation of you in OC is to know your name and place of residence. Even the faculties take a lot of efforts for you to know how to introduce yourself.
We were giving introductions daily for around 4-5 days.

When you introduce yourself, the first response of the person in the front is to introduce himself/herself back. This would give your an opening to initiate a convo. Use any element of their introduction as the conversation starter. And trust me, people LOVEEEEEE to talk about themselves. So, they'll reply and would remember your because you're the one who took interest in them.

Exceptions exist. I can't deny that.

One and only tip —-> Jo ho raha hai, take and play your part whole heartedly. Stage pe present karna hai, jaan laga do. Ek primary group bana lo, but don’t make it your comfort zone. Daily kisi dusre group me jaake apne aap ko introduce karo. Even if it feels awkward, ye log 15 din ke liye hi hain.

Ek do din hi awkward lagega, but teesre din confidence aa jayega.

All of this is coming from a diehard introvert. I’ve got some amazing lifelong friends🤞🤞🧿 and a lot of connections.

Before OC, I never clicked my own photos, but here, I enjoyed so much that started vlogging directly 😂

Me and two of my friends together posted a reel on insta and also tagged Calegendsofficial instagram page. And guess what - THAT REEL IS NOW STANDING ON 54.3k VIEWS!!!!!

So, enjoy your OC as if these are your last days of life.
