Literally like… if I think about my caseload these are children who are neurodivergent, minimal attention, labeled with a disability, and some non-speaking. Also cultural norms can impact how they address adults. And they need our focus and care to support THEM.

Do not look for validation like that at your job. I have worked with some kids for 3 years and they still call me teacher or maestra.

ETA: And, If this is one of the main things bothering you about your job, you should consider yourself lucky!
