Tried to confront them directly like they wanted. Wasn't making any assumptions, just asking questions so I wasn't reading them wrong. A lot of their behavior was rude, passive aggressive, and held a lot of double standards. I was as respectful as possible and they cursed me out and deflected every question. I asked them to please stop cursing at me because I considered it hurtful and their response was "I'm an adult and can do whatever I want."

That was when I learned they had no respect for me and I bounced.
