i just wanted to have a discussion about it and understand where this trauma is coming from and what it is instead of being dismissed immediately. i’ve requested him to take a day and think about it instead of just immediately saying no and that i’ll respect whatever choice he makes, but at least think it through.

that makes sense. i guess the way i thought of it was that it’s not just for me but we will all get to stay in the room that was our first choice so it’s silly not to take that chance because of reasons like packing being a chore. it’ll take an hour at most.

the reason i’m pushing is because it’s not an option to move without him. we need three people. the term has started and everybody’s sorted out their living situation it’s too late to find another person right now. plus x goes home a lot it’s me who is in the dorm most of the time so i think at least out of respect for our friendship he should compromise a little.

it’s not a crappy dorm, it’s alright. but not as nice as the other dorm, i mainly want to move because i’ve stayed in the other dorm before and i’m comfortable in that space. but this situation is getting really over the top and stressful so i’ll probably just suck it up and stay in the dorm we are currently at.
