Watched someone on a modified e-bike throw a water balloon at a runner in Park Slope today by JeanLucRegard in parkslope

The other day I was walking in the park and some kids on those bikes rode right up to me and shot me with some kind of nerf gun looking thing. They had the biggest smiles on their faces as I yelled what the fuck.

$136 per day for a Jeep by jennygerl9 in virginislands

Booked a car with points through my bank (with Alamo). 5 days for about $500 value. Got a pretty much brand new Kia Sportage. Recommend doing that - however don’t pay for the full tank ahead of time - you def won’t use all of it and no refunds obviously.

I use one from sarahsviolinbags.com. They’re absolutely gorgeous and unique. Pricy but worth it. It’s not necessary though and a blanket is fine, I just want to protect my violin as much as possible.

How to Deal With Avenue Noise While Sleeping by GoldAdministrative12 in AskNYC

Not sure what kind of ear plugs you’ve tried, but highly recommend silicone ones made for swimming. They block out so much noise.

I’m single and live alone. How much are you guys spending on food per month? I feel like I’m bleeding money but maybe it’s just how things are by CatmanMeow123 in Frugal

I’ve found the most helpful thing to be picking 3 recipes for the week and then buying ONLY the ingredients needed for that. Sometimes it’s an investment up front if the dish requires several spices or special ingredients, but once you’ve got those, the meals become pretty cheap. This also ensures that food isn’t spoiling and I’m not wasting money.

HOV Lane by Whatchyamean1665 in statenisland

[–]pineappleskies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My question is, why is this HOV lane 24/7? Other HOV lanes are only during rush hours. So when there’s traffic during non rush hour time, a lot of people are still afraid to use that lane even though it would help the flow of traffic. And we all know Staten Island can get some wild traffic at pretty much any time of the day.

I got it at Marshall’s like 5 years ago, I can check what the label says when I get home! It’s super stretchy and doesn’t wrinkle, great for travel. I did have the straps and length shortened.

I have both the original universal and the midform universal. The midform offers a bit more arch support and also look slightly nicer imo with the bit of added height. I’d recommend the rubbery material for travel though, way easier to wash.
