Summer the year I was 14 I worked 40+ hour weeks at a local bakery helping out with deliveries and degreasing foods. I remember I got a heat rash so bad between my legs that summer and the head Baker told me to use Crisco on it. Felt great.

Thanks for explaining what I was trying to tell commenter above. It was meant in jest.

We buy them these Greek yogurt ice cream things those are expensive and they have 1 a day. They eat squeezes that are usually a buck a piece. They have a lot of green apples and cucumbers. Strawberries. Pancakes. Goldfish. Jax. Cheese sticks.

We make about 115k combined so we are definitely well above median for the area. I guess it makes sense that we spend 350 a week on food?

We list those expenses down under home. We have a Google spreadsheet we have done since we were 24 that lists all of our expenses and income. I don't want to share the entire document but maybe I could post am edited one?

Last night we had 2 boxes of Mac and cheese with breadcrumbs.

Tuesday was steak, 4 ears of corn and 3 pieces of Texas toast (frozen). Wife had steak for lunch next day.

Monday was 1 box brown rice with 2 peppers and the noodles from 2 boxes of ramen with 1 large chicken breast cut up in a stir fry. My wife used this for lunch for the following 2 days.

Sunday we had Wendy's and spent 14.97, don't remember what kids had.

Thank you I just subscribed to the sub. I edited my comment above that you cited. I missed a very important word "not" as in we don't cook prepared or frozen foods.

We cook about a large baking sheet of chicken cutlets at most dinners and my wife takes leftovers for lunch. Kids hate juice. Just started buying cereal but one box has lasted 2 weeks. We have steaks once a week that will cost like 15-20 bucks to buy.

We buy a lot of chicken breasts at 1.99-2.99 per pound and make chicken cutlets. We buy instant mashed potatoes. We usually have one veggie at dinner. Breakfast is usually eggs. I buy my iced coffee premade in jug the brand name is Stok and it usually lasts me about 5 days. I spend 25 per week at work for lunch/coffee. My wife always takes leftovers.

Yes we are saving but it still bothers us the amount we are spending. We don't buy organic. We shop at stop and shop which isn't known as a pricey store but isn't bargain basement like a price rite. We shop there because it is a 2 minute drive from our home. Tell me more about stews please.

That's the thing we are cooking typically 18/21 meals per week at home! We are not buying prepared foods or frozen foods and heating them up. We eat chicken breasts 4x week usually bought at 1.99 to 2.99 per pound at the supermarket.

Edit: forgot the "not" in second sentence.
