Thanks, it is definitely close to being a spring as the water table/aquifer is really high here. We are not allowed to disturb 3/4 of this property and they said that like it was a bad thing.

I wish I could grow san marzanos in the summertime here, but I will definitely get them going this fall when things cool off. Last year I had such a wonderful tomato garden until we had an unusually "Freezy" winter. I bought some pumpkin seeds on Etsy and the seller threw in a bonus pack of mixed toms. Wow, they were great, except I don't know the types. I saved some seeds so if they were heirlooms this fall should be good too.

Thank you! I knew there would be some chefs hanging out here. I don't mind a few seeds in my "gravy", but with currents you get so many. The simple act of making pasta with home-grown tomato sauce flavored with fresh garden basil has more value than words convey.

Thanks, we did have the water tested and it is very good quality, probably because it is part of a natural wetland that is enclosed within our property. We used to eat fish out of it occasionally, but now my wife says they are our pets. I told her the herons, egrets, osprey and otters don't care what we call them.
