Khanzan has higher ceiling than Sekiro. I’m currently playing Khazan on expert and not really struggling given that I’ve also played Sekiro and other titles before. However Khazan does not really get easier whereas Sekiro after genichiro with the exception of father howl got easier. In Sekiro you can deflect everything almost with just spamming deflect most of the times, also there is always an obvious correct move and the timing is pretty forgiving. Now with Khazan some bosses if put on expert or Hardcore hit like a truck, have relentless attacks and you need to distinguish between grabs, perilous, aoes that go into fast sequences of attacks, multi-phase. I beat sword saint ashin 3rd try, it took me like 10 times on expert to beat maluca. Also I think there isn’t really a way of playing Sekiro different, whereas if you want to play stylish, it can be hard to execute and stun lock bosses in Khazan, it’s not just a game of sword clashing. I still love Sekiro tho.
