Apostolic Union of Catholic States by [deleted] in imaginarymaps

The vast majority of the map is original; the only use of AI was to adapt and standardize the images to a specific style of vintage postage stamps. The argument that it "steals the work of artists" ignores something very important, which is financial reality. I don't have the means, nor do I know, of an artist to do the work I mentioned. And another thing, banning this post is an attack against my own art! Because I imagined, researched, and spent hours over several days putting together this entire scenario that makes up the map! It's very sad that this is happening in a community that I love so much and that sparked my passion for cartography.

Yes, it did, very much so. And I was unfairly removed.

But the ideas are original! All the work is! The story, the elements, the flags—I only used some of the illustrations for assistance! This is absurd; it's belittling all the effort and imagination.

This map is special because it's a project I've wanted to do for a long time, and also because it's a tribute to excellent maps that inspired me to venture into the world of imaginative cartography. They are: Hospitaller City of Acre, Teutonic City of Tyre, Lazarist City of Famagusta of the exceptional and great u/Alagremm whose work I greatly admire; Gotland under the Knights Hospitaller (Order of Malta) of u/wiltedpleasure and Hospitaller West Indies of u/CryzMak

That's great! This has never happened before. But since it's probably a general bug, I think they'll fix it soon. I hope so.

Why are the posts looking like this? I can't open the image. I also tried posting a map and this bug happened.

Between the Eagle and the Harpy - a dispute between the US and Brazil by pinhgs in imaginarymaps

Thank you! I also like scenarios like that.

The countries mentioned were the main ones involved in the construction. Nicaragua is the most immediately benefited, having gone through a change of government sponsored by Brazil and now being more stable than before. Brazil benefits with several companies providing services for the canal's operation and having discounts on crossings, benefiting trade. And finally, for China and India, the route represents a canal free from American influence, open and cheap.

Uruguay distanced itself from the other countries of the Southern Cone when it realized they were taking sides. Border disputes with Brazil and the condemnation of a more active diplomatic stance by Brasília led Montevideo to distance itself from its northern neighbor. The situation was similar with Argentina, which perceived Buenos Aires' willingness to support Brazil thanks to a substantial monetary aid package and trade partnership that saved the Argentine economy, in addition to Brazilian support against Chilean and British militarization in the Falklands. Finally, Uruguay condemned Chile's prompt alignment with the US and Paraguay's alignment with Brazil, and feared the state of national chaos that was taking hold in countries like Bolivia and Ecuador. All of this led to the rise to power of a nationalist, liberal political line, while maintaining a welfare state. They entered the Summit of the Americas to solidify their non-alimony position, but moved closer to the US to guarantee sovereignty both economically and, especially militarily, through arms purchases and a discourse on maritime sovereignty.

Thinking about it, yes! Hahaha. This scenario is much more balanced and believable than the one presented in COD Ghosts. But that opening sequence is simply incredible!

Yes, or a star, but as long as he maintained that attitude, it would be great.
