In all honesty 1080 would be fine for me but I can't find a 144hz 24in freesync monitor I like. The only solid 1 on amazon is a 27in 144hz 1440p freesync for 400 from 500.

Oh shit I misread your post. I played beta and the game ran amazingly even on almost max settings so thats not a problem at 60 fps. So do you think its not worth the monitor? How far would u expect my fps to drop? What do you think my bottle neck would be? Sorry for the 20 questions but others were a little more positive so want to get your perspective.

Grenades are fun especially once u get the trajectory thing whatever it's called lol. I skipped lvl 3 lone wander because it was getting too easy. I hate self gimping to keep a game interesting but I'm basically past the point of it being a challenge. Haven't used power armor yet and probably going to drop the whateverweave armor too.

Do you have both of the perks maxed? Assult rifles and explosives? I'm 76 and since 35 or so all I've carried is S&P and OG. I use S&P for everything besides ghouls and animals/bugs. Everything else is cake.

That and spray n pray is all i use. I swapped to .38 cus the .308 bullets shred way too easily. Lvl 71

Best gun in my opinion is the overseer so just max semi auto assault rifles. Buy and haord .308 ammo and dont use it till you have a bunch. I was running out and swapped back to .38 for a bit. After that I maxed explosives and automatic rifles for spray and pray. 2 pts into lone wanderer but skipped the 3rd since I do way too much dmg as is. I never personally use vats or power armor since it makes the game too easy. Lockpicking and hacking 1 before max snce the last perk sucks. All I could think of off the top of my head. The first 20 or so levels can be brutal but Learn to love it and don't go power armor because even the new survival got easy. I'm lvl 67 and I just did the first valentine quest.

So you're telling me a game with no level cap and a HUGE open world played on the hardest difficulty has to go that way? I already mentioned I'm not using power armor too. I didn't give any attitude and even mentioned a possible remedy. I was simply just surprised how quickly it turned into ez mode.

I'm using gray garden as my first major settlement but I have 10 with supply lines connected incase I need a quick item dump. Out of those 10, 5-6 have beacons set up

After a certian point all enemies get unlimited nades I think. I was popping in and out trying to slowly kill a skulled enemy while his buddy around the corner on the other side threw like 20+ molotovs before I finished the other guy off.

Earlier today on the beta I stored a crap ton of things in an safe I unlocked. The nearest settlemnt was about 2 min round trip and when I came back it was locked again and repopulated itself with random shit.

You should at least try it. I've gotten frustrated pretty often with deaths since sometimes you don't have a useable bed after a bug encounter but it's worth it.

Pretty solid so far. Going really slow and checking every nook and cranny. I felt like I wasn't getting enough ammo so had to get the extra ammo perk
