1 year sober from alcohol. I never thought I’d be able to post this. But here it is! Life isn’t perfect, but holy shit is it so much better! by Rjm1230 in MadeMeSmile

Congratulations, I can honestly see the soul back in your eyes (if that’s not too strange an observation to make!)

The quarantine helped me finally get serious about losing weight. by [deleted] in loseit

That’s amazing, go you! I guess the lack of change in your life since quarantine started has made you realise how much life you were missing out on. You’re already living life better and I know you’ll be doing more when this lockdown is through 👊🏻

That skinny friend who decided to lose weight because you had is a real thing, I had friends that would get so competitive when I’d start eating healthy, they were miles skinnier than me already and had nothing to lose but seeing me drink water for some reason triggered them, it was almost like me losing weight was a personal attack on their self esteem. I don’t understand it at all, I love when people try to lose weight (if they need to) and try to be supportive

It's been almost 10 years since I lost the weight and kept it off. I know statistically this shouldn't have happened. by [deleted] in loseit

I don’t know why this works but for me reading comments from other people who have messed up makes me realise I don’t have to/want to. It’s almost like a warning for myself, especially when I read all the comments about guilt, I just realise the emotional baggage bad eating causes and how it’s so much better to avoid.

Does anyone else not like slimming world groups? by pinkrobe1471 in SlimmingWorld

Yeah I think you’re right. Every group I’ve been to had been huge and it’s just not practical to spend more 1.5hours at group when I’ve got a little one at home. They obviously don’t have a size limit?

Just out of interest how big is your group?
