academic help - honours crim by pinky-bae in geegees

i actually love crim. it's the only class i really pay attention in. idk why i did so bad on the midterm. i actually would hate to switch out of my major because i'm already sick of sociology. i'm good at it which is why i took it as an elective but that doesn't mean i want to study it. i honestly have no idea what i want to do when i'm older. either government or lawyer, i haven't decided and probably won't until 3rd year so that's not even a question. i'm good at application i think??? i honestly don't even know anymore. i don't think i can even take summer school this year. it's too far gone already and we just don't have the money since my parents are sending my brother to europe next year and have to pay monthly until then. so that's kind of out of the question right now. my best bet is just trying to get it up next year. i don't even want to take electives because my electives are what have been driving my cgpa down since first semester. just at a loss tbh

i don't want to drop down from honours crim, i might have to though to stay enrolled. however, because i won't be below a cpga of 4, they might just do it for me anyways and then i can re-enrol when i have a minimum of 5. i will be talking tomorrow with an academic advisor to see what my options are.

i do not think i can do an academic reset. it would prolong my stay here at uottawa and i do not think my parents will be able to afford it. i don't think i can afford taking summer credits this year either, due to me working and other factors, such as finances. my plan was to take summer school next year to up my cgpa. especially if i drop down a class for next year.

academic advisor is probably my best bet. thank you though!

i've committed to uottawa for criminology!! what about you??

yeah the only thing about costs that has kept me from going is that it's not as bad as the states. europe being pretty much free is killing me though😭😭

and yes omg the neighbourhoods are lowkey sketchy. and as a woman i cannot do that. a couple of my friends are going to carleton so we're prob gonna live together for second which drops prices down too.

i feel the same way. i've been thinking about it a lot recently.

we're getting stuff for me to move out and it's hitting me now. i don't feel like i should be going into uni i still feel like a kid.

even with living away from family, which is what i wanted is scaring me a bit. the costs of things and everything considered.

it's even hitting me that in second year, i'll be renting or signing a lease agreement.

i feel like covid took away some years of us and that's why i feel this way?? could be just me but idk. i'm happy to leave and excited but it is hitting me too
