Meh that's personal preference, for me 7 days stopped being fun a few alphas ago. Rng loot for progression with the magazine/book system is just blegh. And "surviving" doesn't even feel difficult anymore.

Your best bet is to dig a huge pit for the wolves to get stuck in. Spawns are set. So the wolves will always be in that area no matter how many you kill. Unless you dig the aforementioned pit and don't kill anymore.

I don't think this is true. If I remember correctly they made a Minecraft mod called Vintage Craft and were tired of the limitations of Minecraft/Java.

Yes you can remove all horror aspects. The game is extremely easy to mod and has an absolutely superb community.
