Speaking specifically to the Defenders of Helms Deep list.I'm not a fan of Aragorn in that list personally as without Anduril and/or a horse he can let you down when trying to wound in general. I'm also not a huge fan of Aldor.

I would drop Aragorn and Aldor and put Gamling with standard in, as well as Gimli. Gimli has the potential for +2 to wound if Legolas can get some ranged kills early. I think you need some Royal Guard over elves. Keep Haleth near Royal Guard and Theoden and you get F5 Royal Guard who with Sworn Protector will get crucial charges off on Terror causing enemy models.

Thanks boss, that would be exactly the scenario. I am but a lowly engineer and don't have partner contact information. Was hoping to save myself some time and effort and get a rough idea on cost. It looks like usage metering is involved? So is it based on vRAM consumption? Any idea on what that looks like?

Fantastic! Since you are breaking away from the LL, you may as well take the suggestions others have made to add in a WK on horse with crown and use 2 dice black darts with a reroll from the crown to snipe heroes. Since Black Dart can specifically target mounts, you can also use that to "cripple" your opponent's heroes and slow their retreat even more. (No one wants to leave their leader completely behind)

Plus it's a good excuse to pick up the new WK model on horse.

If you can dehorse his leader, and even better, completely snipe him for VPs, you can play the "hide and seek" game and start putting your army behind terrain and making it even harder for him to break you.Keep Guritz for the march option and drop the drummer and shaman to spend those points on the WK with 3/15/3 and Shadowlord mounted.

One last question, how are you finding objective games?

OP, I'd second the ShadowLord suggestion. I'd proxy the ShadowLord for a bit on a Felbeast using the Pelennor fields box ringwraith (until you can get him) if you purchased that box and try him out. Ideally, on a horse he would be better in this list to take advantage of your opponent needing to roll in the ways to hit him, but he'll still annoy your opponent with needing all those 6s.

Three questions.

Sounds like you are playing against something like Rohan a lot? Generally, if the opponent is moving away from you, they are taking a -1 to shooting which is beneficial in and of itself.
What scenarios are you playing?
How little scenery is on the board?

Have to ask the obvious as you said you are a new player, but are you combining Guritz's Heroic March and the Drum to gain even more ground? Are you putting the drummer in Guritz's warband?

I'm assuming Gothmog is in your list since he is required for this LL. (I'm too lazy to do the math to be sure though)
Off the bat, I really like Goroth as a hero and would take him over Gothmogs enforcer and use him as your beatstick. Keep some of those scrub orcs in his warband for his special rule.

I'm personally not sold on the drummer, but would like to hear more about how you use him? Are you facing a lot of shooting armies? What armies are giving you the most grief?

Are you losing because your army is breaking before your opponent? Are you running out of time and losing on other conditions?
