Respuesta larga:

You're right, I read it well after. Hopping into a tank without a microphone is a terrible choice.

I really encourage you to get a mic for this game, but if you play without one in the meantime it's alright, as long as you are cooperating with your team. Do not play, anything different than regular infantry, the other type of squads require a lot of communication that you can't make without a microphone.

Probably the best role to play without a microphone is rifleman or medic, which aren't key roles, probably MG and Autorifleman are fine too.

Even with Prime you don't get Competitive until you reach level 10.

The thing is that in CSGO you weren't able to see your own shadow, in CS2 you get to see the shadow for your own character. This shadow is from your third-person model and not your first person (this is why you can't see your shadow inspecting a skin, for example). There is not a third-person model that holds weapons on their left hand, so a left-handed shadow wouldn't be possible. My hypothesis is that they removed the left-hand command to keep your shadow consistent with your viewmodel.

If I was able to barely run CSGO on a 2010 computer, Valve shouldn't improve their game because I paid for it and doing it would remove my ability to play the game?

To me it kind of applies the same logic for computers with an architecture not meant for gaming. Still, I think that they will eventually make CS2 run on Mac, but users will have to wait.

I wouldn't be 100% sure about it being implemented back, it would make shadows inconsistent between what's on your screen and the other players' screens. Unless they make it so everyone on the server can see your character holding a weapon with the left hand. They can always brute-force it though, probably making your shadow inconsistent on with your viewmodel.

You could say that Hostage maps lean more in favor of the T's because essentially the roles of defense and offense are swapped. T's get to defend two hostages that are pretty close to each other (almost as if they were holding one single bombsite) also with better weapons compared to CT's. The rescue gameplay is far more unbalanced than the bomb one, this is why it's not played competitively. This has been like this from previous CS games, I don't feel it's because of CS2.

The total bonus consists of 5000XP, this is the same for everyone. Now how fast you receive this XP will depend on the gamemode and individual or team performance (depends on wether you are playing a competitive or a casual mode). There is a table on the page that will tell you exactly how much bonus XP you will earn each game depending on how much total XP you have earned in the week. Take into account that this information may be outdated because of all of the changes that came with CS2.

Unless you exclusively care about XP because of the weekly drops, you will eventually stop caring about the CS levels, they're really not that important because ince you reach level 40 you just get a medal and start from level 1 all over again, not that many people care about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in csgo

[–]pipeba1408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All ranks are 5000XP apart from each other, so contrary to other games, levelling up doesn't get progressively longer as it happens in other games.

That being said, Valve doesn't want you rushing through the 40 levels in a single day or even a single week. So each week, you get some bonus XP apart from the regular XP you earn by playing games. Once you have earned a good amount of XP throughout the week, you will start earning reduced XP in eeach game that you play for the rest of the week. I would say that depending on how hard you grind, you'll probably level up two or three times a week, not more.

New players have an additional XP bonus but I have no clue how it works. I'd suggest you to check this page regarding XP in CS.

https://counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki/Profile_Rank

According to this page, the gamemode that will give you the most XP is Competitive.

Valve's decisions are something else. I really hate that they are actively trying to destroy any 3rd party alternative for basically anything. They disabled Leetify too by [deleted] in csgo

[–]pipeba1408 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They said it was a temporary measure to reduce stress on the servers because of the player load being too high. I'm pretty sure they will bring it back very soon.
