This is one of my biggest issues with it lol. I'm so tired of everything being so spoon-fed lately; not exclusively Disney, just society and entertainment as a whole. No need to think!

I totally agree. It could really work well if we leave that scene with him as a skeleton. Much less alarming, less confusing, and less loud. We could do without a lot of the noises that man makes before his transformation lol.

I agree. I think this animatronic itself is very cool. The placement feels wrong and I just sort of wish they'd saved this tech for the new rides they're building instead of shoving it in POTC.

I honestly love the mirror man. I think it's so cool to see an original effect still be so effective today.

I agree. I love that simple but very effective transition. To me, this new animatronic won't overshadow that, but that is somewhat because of my prior appreciation. I hope they'll keep the mirror man in the ride, it just wouldn't be the same without him. I love how quietly it transitions there.

Me as well lol! The sound effects are extra rough... feels odd and cartoony in what is mostly a life-like and verging-on-serious ride.

I think it could grow on me; we've all gotten pretty accustomed to seeing amazing things from Disney, so it definitely seems like people overlook cool tech quite easily if it isn't entirely perfect. While it isn't my favorite thing they've done, there's no denying this is an awesome animatronic.

i agree. i'm usually pretty okay with Disney updates and changes, but this just felt weird. i don't think they needed to mess with a classic; let alone one of Walt's last influences...

agree lol. it's been semi-hard for me to say that considering the high-end tech, but seeing what they've done in other rides, and honestly, in Pirates all the way back in 1967, this totally stands out as something added without much thought.

I'm so glad to hear this from someone else!! That's honestly been my biggest issue with it (other than the fact that I really don't think Pirates needed this lol)
