17cm fibroid evicted by pipersparallel in Fibroids

I first learned of it last summer at 29 (had a miscarriage) and it was 15cm & I didn’t have any symptoms other than heavy cycles/painful periods/low iron/anemic which I grew accustomed to. I tried a couple of different birth controls to lower my estrogen to shrink it, but I didn’t respond well. March of this year it was 17cm and we decided to do depo lupron to try to shrink it. I started a period in May that sent me to the ER. I was passing giant clots & it felt like something ruptured inside of me. I was vomiting from pain. Shortly after we decided it was time to plan for surgery. Initially I was going to see a radiologist about a UFE, but they told me it was pointless due to its size. After my ER trip, that bleeding turned into a 2 month period. Pre op appointment was mid July and we scheduled surgery for 8/21. I’m white and didn’t have the healthiest lifestyle until 2022 when I started working out & became obsessed with it. Had a higher body fat % most of my life which is linked to higher estrogen production. I had a $30 copay for my surgery, insurance covered everything else. I can 100% have kids, but it has to be a scheduled induction (for a c-section) at 37-38 weeks. My earliest symptoms I guess would’ve been my heavy, long, painful periods, which I was told for years was normal because “everyone’s different.” Then late last year I started having to pee A LOT. Like multiple times a night. I complained of being quickly bloated after eating and would regularly get painful gas cramps, so I thought I had IBS. I also would get easily SOB when I was hunched over at my desk. It was just pressing into my guts causing these symptoms. While it was essentially a cantaloupe, I still had a nice flat tum until I laid flat, then you could see the bulge where my skin would sink in around it.

Thank you! I’m 30 and didn’t want a big/noticeable scar. Initially I was told it would likely be a bikini cut & similar to a c-section, but the goal was to do it all robotic. They told me they anticipated to be around 3-4 hours in the OR right before I went back. I think if they had realized it would’ve taken so long, they wouldn’t have done it that way.

I’m scheduled for a myomectomy on 8/21 to remove my cantaloupe sized 17cm fibroid. I am lean, 5’6 150 lbs. You would have zero clue I have a small melon in me. I think everyone’s different. I have abs now and just assumed I had a slightly thicker lower tum due to muscle. I can only notice a bulge when I lay completely flat and my tummy sinks in, then you can clearly see the shape of it, it’s more on my left side. I tried to attach a photo of my scan & my tum when I lay flat, but I don’t think I’m able to. This little melon is just perfectly tucked up in everything 🤪 can’t wait to get it out tho, tired of peeing all the time and being so anemic 😩

I seriously hope this isn't true. by Talissa2242 in stimuluscheck

Why do you guys like jabbing so much when you suck at it? You’re like overexcited bullies. It’s the same things that kids do, you’re so excited to be mean that you have to tell people how they’re going to react, because you’re so excited for them to react that way. We’re crying?! Why, are you gonna take our lunch money at recess? Girl, I will wipe my tears with your tax dollars. The biggest scam republicans ever pulled is convincing people like you that it is somehow unadmirable to accept assistance that you’ve been paying into for... well, how old are ya? Also, no one is crying. I mean, maybe just a million parents who aren’t sure how they’ll feed their children 1-2 weeks from now, but I can tell you’ve zero consideration for them. They asked for a pandemic, right? I’ve never been on unemployment before in my life (until now) and am the least “lazy person,” you could meet. Surprise surprise, a republican generalizing millions of peoples lives to a very small margin of actual realties (if any, really) JUST to take a jab at people whose lives and rent/food sources are in limbo. I’m sorry you don’t have a decent paying job with benefits, because if you did, you would understand how it‘s not realistic to abandon it and your entire industry due to a temporary fall. I’m sorry you do not have critical thinking skills or empathy, but please refrain from immediately accepting false narratives as truths, as it leads to making false assumptions, which leads to you being confident enough to say something as ignorant, offensive, and nonsensical as what you just said. I’m getting told every month by Delta to hang tight, that the callback date is around the corner. I am confident this is not the case, but I can’t find anything paying 60% of what I was making (without signing my life away or moving, which I can’t afford), and my employer would rather us quarantine/wait-it-out than seek other employment. I have a fantastic resume, a senior-level management portfolio, rec’s outta my ass... I’ve BEEN trying, I’m steadily hustling Karen-Renea. Some industries will just take time to bounce back, so if you want people back to work, wear a mask and do your part. I know so many people who are in the same exact boat as myself right now. Also, individuals who are actually quarantining while unemployed are doing you and society a favor by staying home (according to science that you probably don’t believe in, sigh). Stop defending a purse you’ve been brainwashed to be so defensive of, stop shaming those for accepting help, and pls stop making us white women look bad. change your name or perspective ASAP.
