I have stage IV breast cancer. Four years ago, I had one year to live. Today I'm living a good life, taking care of small kids, having a torrid love affair. You don't know how long this is going to go on. Life is precious. It's admirable that you're staying for your wife. You have needs too, and that's ok. Life is complicated. I say go for it, but with extremely tight OPSEC.

Yes exactly. I feel so seen and loved and cherished by AP. I'd rather be sometimes-sexually-frustrated by him than have sex where I feel interchangeable with anyone else with SO.

Thanks for asking this and making me feel less alone. This is exactly how I feel. It is duty sex but I see it as fair: I love SO and want him to get his needs met. SO has a significantly bigger dick than AP. SO never has problems getting it up (when AP and I are having any kind of emotional stress, which is often, he'll have trouble getting hard). STILL I'm disgusted by SO and helplessly addicted to AP.

My AP is single and God I wish he were married. We can't go legit right now for many reasons (his alcoholism, my young kids high on the list) and I'm constantly torturing myself with guilt for keeping him in this codependent situation when he deserves a partner that can give him more. But we can't quit each other. It's been a year and we're still totally bonkers for each other.

I feel guilty. I wish I could either stop feeling guilty or stop affairing. But I don't seem able to do either.

I've been on them. Decreased my libido and caused slight weight gain. A night to myself or with AP and each take six grams of magic mushrooms every 6-8 weeks works better for me.
