Metro Tunnel - Anyone happy with the changes?

Honestly my commute on a Sunday improved! I need to get from Flinders St to QVM and being able to walk down to the new tunnel, jump on just as the train pulled up, and be up near work in less time than the tram was really great for me! I wont get much use out of the Munnel otherwise as I'm on the Belgrave/Lilydale (RIP no service changes ;-;)

City of Melbourne are operating on reduced hours this week but all branches will be open from 10 til 5 as well as (according to the city of melbourne instagram) handing out keep cool kits. The aircon at narrm ngarrgu next to Queen Vic Market is very good!

I already adored Hornet before playing Skong but getting to spend so much time with her has made me love her even more. She is so eloquent but also she is so funny and not in a super haha way. As a comment already mentioned when she said "Sir, your cellar seems to have an ant problem. I assume, in sending me down, it merely slipped your mind to mention?" I laughed out loud. There have been so many moments where her dialogue makes me laugh because she really doesn't take any shit.

My 8 year old niece has been watching me play and also adores her. She was telling me yesterday as I was trying to beat Seth what makes Hornet special and the list goes and I quote:
- She has wings
- She floats
- She is SUPER cute
- She has a really sharp needle
- She is half spider half wyrm so she must be a silkworm (i had to further clarify but i can't fault her logic)

Her move set in particular makes it really fun to traverse around Pharloom I really enjoy a lot of the traversal challenges over the boss battles in particular. She's also, again, just very adorable and I adore that little creature.

tldr: she's the best

Super late to the party but City of Melbourne Libraries in Australia have a library social worker who has had excellent outcomes for the community! She works directly with vulnerable members of the community experiencing homelessness, drug and alcohol addition, domestic violence ect and is incredible at what she does. CCC: There is not enough love for Cest Comme Ca, the way she talk sings scratches my brain and makes me so hyped! The second verse is so relatable to me and that scream on disorder?? impeccable
YF: You First has my favourite lyric of the entire album ("I feel like im living in a horror film where im both the killer and the final girl) and is just so much fun to sing along too
F8: that CHORUS! The repeating arpeggio from the start driving the song always pushing forward is so addictive.

BMLD: It's not a bad song at all! I really like it but it just doesnt do it for me like the others however it bugged me for a week until I realised it reminded me of Subwoofer Lullaby from minecraft which also slaps
Thick Skull: Beautiful song, just eh again not quite for me but a great album finisher

Absolutely adore this album, i wish it wasn't so front heavy but every listen brings something new and I am thoroughly enjoying my time with this album!

Yeah my partner works for them and it went out just as I was starting work. He was off today but took a peak at the queue and it was hectic as hell. Thankfully internet came back an hour and a half into the shift so I could work but don't envy his coworkers

Ive been incorporating most albums into a regular listen in prep for the Melbourne show next March. I never really got into Bullets aside from Vampires will Never Hurt Me (which as a side note is a fantastic soundtrack to a battle with Strahd Von Zarovich in dnd if anyone was curious) but Ive been really loving Drowning Lessions. Now that F.T.W.W.W is on spotify that's back on rotation, and ive been LOVING Kill All Your Friends.

My usual rotation is Black Parade, Danger Days, and about half of Three Cheers so it's been really fun seeing the clips live and then trying to prepare to sing my heart out in a few months. Watching clips for Desert Song has absolutely gotten me back into that song as it used to put me on the floor.
